RAM1966 got a reaction from BathRam72 in Mel Morris fan club
What he did was beyond reckless, we will hopefully be lucky and someone might just buy an insolvent business............... No slack from me, he gambled and gambled with everything he could, breaking FFP & running so much debt up its unreal. I may review this if he leaves the club in the same state he bought it in!!!!
What true fan sods off with the prized assets after running up a shed load of debt?

Not seen mention of this (but the threads are so long so apologies if I've missed it) but the Nixon thread seems the obvious place. He's saying the EFL have now demanded the Administrators take out loans to put actual money into the bank to cover Derby's commitments all the way through to the end of the season:
Previously the EFL said the Administrators had given them sufficient guarantees that the club would continue trading through to the season's end, and that was sufficient. Now they've changed their minds (they make this up as they go along) and have decided (as Nixon suggests) to treat Derby differently and force us to borrow more money at extortionate rates (and who will lend it to us?).
The EFL is clearly trying to make it much harder for us to find a buyer. Do they want us liquidated as a trophy "pour encourager les autres" (?) or do they just want to make damned sure we get relegated at least one division? It's hard to know. It's an absurdity that we can't demonstrate through projected revenues from gate receipts and TV revenues etc that we will be able to fulfil our fixtures.

OK but surely the bid from Carlisle Capital represented an opportunity for him to bail out?
Instead he's staggered on for a few more weeks before putting us into administration, incurring a 12 point penalty, screwing over a load of small creditors & put the existence of the club under threat.

Mel Morris's running (backwards) of the club is 100% the cause of our current problems. I for one, without defending him, will give him until the matter is 100% concluded before crucifying him however. For now, he's not the messiah but he has been a very naughty boy.

I'm now of the opinion that if Derby went pop and ceased to exist, some on here would still defend Morris!!!!

? I do get very serious about certain things. It’s the way I am made. Things like this get my goat and I turn full on grumpy old goat. ?
In the end the EFL is a democratic body elected by its members and supposed to represent its electorate in a just manner.
The best recognised democratic process always has 3 key elements
Legislature
Executive
Judiciary
The legislature is the EFL: it’s electorate .. it’s members…… It makes the laws on their behalf.
The executive enforces the laws .. it’s the police … or officers appointed by the executive with suitable terms of reference.
The judiciary becomes involved when laws(rules) are breached
It is an absolute fundamental that the legislature and the executive do not meddle with, put pressure on or interfere with the judiciary …That is the way to a failed state, government tapping up judges, leaning on them blah blah .. By commenting publicly they put tacit pressure on the judiciary .. Offside EFL. …. If you don’t like the judgment then you should have made different laws that were better put together, less open to interpretation. If the EFL didn’t like a judgment then it’s only action should be to modify the law for the future. That is the only mandate it has….. So, They were “regretful” or “disappointed” .. in that case the fault lies entirely at their door. The words of the law were their responsibility. By commenting they simply show that they drew bad laws
Pompous Jono lecture over … (Thank you Norman Ilett my long dead History teacher .. you were a grumpy odd bod but taught with clarity, balance and honesty )

The Administrators are ruthless, there is no way on this earth they would risk £300K if they did not think there was a reasonable prospect of a result. Not only that it may slow down the negotiations for prospective buyers!
Firstly the EFL have to defer this to an independent panel and they also have zero right to appeal if we win! Unlike there other kangaroo disciplinary processes.........

Has the DET ever run a DCFC story before we all knew about it?
Masters of copy and paste.

RAM1966 reacted to JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta in SuffolkRam breaks silence over DET’s headlines
Said it before many times, and I'll say it again. The DET has absolutely no journalistic merit at all. None. They only care about dedicating the maximum amount of screen space to adverts as possible and churning out the highest volume of 'articles' possible. Most of it is copied/pasted from twitter and/or taken from work other outlets have done.
Absolute rubbish.

He's certainly been the one positive in all of this and has totally changed my opinion of him as a person.
He's also done a better job managing the team this season than he did last.
