Maybe you excuse Lawrence due to injury, but the rest have been available for Rooney for most of his games. Who should take responsibility for that? In a team that desperately needs goals...
We are as injury riddled now as we started the season. Maybe more fitness wise at the start. 
Rooney himself said this team should be nowhere near the bottom 3. He has played with them, trained with them. He knew what he was signing up for!

We as a fan base seem to be incredibly quick to write young players off and chase this mystique of experience.
There is so much I dislike about football currently. The money is stupid, the diving and theatrics are embarrassing. The use of VAR is a joke. It is a hollow soulless sport currently. What still seems real and something I can support is our own young players representing us.

Some posts on this thread seem to be going the wrong way around it regarding the academy.
We're not poor this season because we've put in loads of academy players, we're poor this season because senior pros haven't been good enough. If we'd not had youth players of the caliber to actually put in some reasonable performances we'd be dead and buried already.
It's taken nearly ten years to build a quality academy set up, started back in the nigel clough days, accelerated by Mel's investment and some people are trying to now say it's been a wasted endevour because of this season - and the plight this season is the least responsibility of the academy and the most on failures of expensive, experienced senior professionals (this season and previous seasons).
