Spanish got a reaction from Dordogne-Ram in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
this is my view I am not getting into the tennis that was played in the first version.
I read that Sweden changed direction after the first wave because they recognised it was wrong
I read that brazil are in a terrible position because the leader is a denier.
I believe that wearing masks and applying other controls has saved many lives of those who required hospital treatment.

the parachute payments create a completely unfair environment

depends on whether those that thrived were due directly to covid or whether it was good management v lazy half arsed and slow. Wouldn't want successful businesses punished because they were successful

"My calculations suggest that #ReadingFC are a long way from being compliant with FFP, even after excluding academy, community & infrastructure (estimated at £5m a year) plus £2m COVID impact, and including £15m profits from sale of stadium and training ground."
#ReadingFC chief executive Nigel Howe neatly summarised the club’s FFP dilemma: “The only way that we can stay within the regulations is to sell some of the players that we have bought to help us succeed, so it’s a bit of a Catch-22.”
#ReadingFC stated objective is “to strive for promotion to the Premier League, without jeopardizing the club’s financial position.” Like many other Championship clubs, funding from the owners is vital, though this will not help meet FFP targets. It’s a tricky balancing act.

Covid rules may save them from a penalty next season but the next........
Looks like 2 options, take it on the chin at the risk of relegation or go for broke next season (surely they will under an embargo though). Failure could be catastrophic. Whilst PS is still there the rule is push one year, if it doesn't succeed try to tread water for the next 2 then go again. Reading are carrying 2 unaffordable seasons and have used up their tangible assets

I just don't get your point Texas, never will I suppose. Covid kills, if you are content with so be it but you must be a cold hearted....
Masks and controls reduce infections allowing hospitals to concentrate on helping people recover. If the number of people ending up in hospital is spread over a longer period of time then those that are in trouble get better care.

But how many times on here have we read Derby fans saying that such and such Derby player steals a living as a footballer. Everybody is entitled to an opinion i just wish people could keep it to themselves

I can see the sense why people use a football forum to express opinion on the football. But I bet if I find the Heinz Baked Beans groups, there'll be people telling me how disgusting they are. Are they trying to convince me, or just happy with their superior view of things?

I guess there will be an irreducible minimum, a bit like hospital acquired pneumonia that tends to do for people at the end of their lives. Medical science will always strive to find cures irrespective of the cause. I don't think it is numbers thing as such

So when was this then? Lots of comments on it but I don't remember it. I remember seeing him for the U23s and a bit with Rowett but tbh he looked nothing like the player we bought pre injury.

If they're not training well (as Rooney has specified) then in matches they risk injury, or they can't last the whole match. What's idiotic about that? He hasn't said such about Sibley anyway.

I think the Gary Rowett season suggested that he was done as a Championship player.
