NottsRam77 got a reaction from Boycie in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
Im trying not to think about a phonenix team i just dont know how i feel about it
i support Derby county because of my dad, i live and breath Derby county because of him most of my happiest memories are with him and Derby county
Hes no longer with us, i dont really have any other ties to the area other than i lived there for two years.. truth be told i think it would be a bit too painful to start again under another guise.
itll be hard enough and still is .
iv got plenty of mates who are county fans so may just go with them for the social side and just be a football fan refugee (aint foong to watch the red dogs)
Tbh following this club has taken it out of me , i dont think i have the mental strength left to start another journey

the analogy is very dramatic and probably one I will regret, but threatening admin in these circumstances is a like a writing a suicide note whilst standing in the middle of the M1. It is a humongous gamble that someone will read it and save you

I will be paying for 4 of us and be travelling from Lincolnshire.......not a million miles away but still a long and expensive day......but after Saturday the players deserve the acknowledgement and what better way than a full house v Reading COYR

This is the most important thing we can do. Create some income to limit redundancies and player sales, make us attractive to purchasers and support the team.
If you haven't got a season ticket, buy a match ticket.
If you have a got a season ticket , encourage a mate to come or if you can afford it, gift a ticket to a mate.
Encourage friends and family to come.
If you can afford it and know someone who can't afford to go, gift them a ticket for this game.
If you live too far away and can afford it, gift a mate or family member from home,
If you are thinking of coming and have kids, bring them along.
Do whatever we can to fill the ground v Reading.
We've been let down but now it's our time, our time to stand up and save our club.

you have a dream, good for you.
My view is that we are not Rangers (one of the top 2 teams in Scotland), this is not Scotland there are far more leagues to navigate, this is not Scotland the competition is far more fierce, Derby is not Glasgow

I would *imagine* that anybody interested in buying the club knows what you/we know.
IOW, they will be keen because the price will be so low, to close the deal before then and hold onto young talent to protect their investment of a quid, or whatever it is.
I guess your scenario could happen, but I doubt it will.

NottsRam77 reacted to Miggins in Mel Morris interview on Radio Derby 1pm
I don't think for one minute that Covid is to blame for our problems, @samwcave, but I think Mel's point was that it came during the time that he was trying to sell the club. No club revenue at that time, no possibility of visits or face to face meetings, everywhere shut down which all made it very hard to sell the club.
Other teams in the championship suffered financially because of covid, but individual circumstances meant that some were impacted more financially than others. From what I gathered 8 teams in the championship benefited from parachute payments during this time of between 12 -42million. I'm just looking at what I have typed and I assume that was shared between them? I don't know. Derby did not qualify for this, obviously and they were not eligible for the EFL grant given to other championship clubs because of the embargo.
Mel said that that many different factors should be taken into consideration when deciding who qualifies for loans and who doesn't and there is a lack of joined up thinking at EFL. All factors together should be considered rather than looking at one set of figures. Covid hit some clubs harder than others depending on parachute payments, EFL loans, the size of the club and the overheads. In fairness I don't think he sounded clueless, more exasperated.
