Gladram reacted to Duracell in Max Bird
Whole team's different with Bird in it. Every single player. They can make riskier runs, can expect a pass into feet if they're a forward, or a ball out wide for full backs and wingers. These players can play their game without having to think.
He doesn't do Hollywood passes that often, but he pulls off those slightly-more-difficult than average passes relentlessly, every time. Very few CMs at this level can do it. It's the marginal gain that separates us from the rest of the league and puts us up there with the best.
That's where the calm comes from with Bird. Having a player like that in the spine of your team makes everything run like clockwork.

Wednesday win IMO.
The targets for me are Plymouth and Ipswich. Wednesday are matching our form every step of the way so can't see us catching them.

Gladram reacted to Srg in Bolton Wanderers (H) Sat 21st Jan
We noticeably went longer today. Looked like a clear acknowledgment from Warne that Davies isn’t Cashin, and Wildsmith wasn’t putting him in any awkward positions. Longest I’ve seen Wildsmith play in a long time.Â

Glad for Barks. He had some lovely first touches and was a threat all game but he and all the others can only do that because of Jason Knight. He is the one that makes those draws wins. That man is the most powerful terrier midfielder I have seen for many a day. He’s not Bryan Robson yet … but he’s heading in that direction. I was blown away by the effort and tenacity. you know when teams press hard and fight at the start of a game that eventually the “super boost” gets drained. Knight just switches fuel tanks and keeps going. For me that was a staggering performance.Â

Gladram reacted to Comrade 86 in The Tennis
Warrior. He was hobbling around from the second set! But the quality of the tennis played was astounding given the nigh 6 hours played. Honestly think he was hitting the ball as sweetly at times as I've ever seen him. I don't even know how he's still playing, but that's one I'll remember for a very long time.

Gladram reacted to Bald Eagle's Barmy Army in Cambridge United (H) Fri 30th Dec
Another one that slags players off when they've had hardly any minutes to prove themselves.
FWIW, Thompson had some good performances under WR and don't forget all players have been playing with restraints for so long. Do you think it's been easy for any player (especially the young ones) to try and show fully what they can do over the past few seasons?Â

Gladram got a reaction from i-Ram in Milton Keynes Dons (A) (Sat 12th Nov 2022)
As a local, born in Derbyshire but brought up in Bletchey, I can give a bit of guidance on pre-game drinks. I don't go near there on match days so happy to be corrected by others but might be helpful.
There are a few options but depends how you are travelling. If going by train go to Bletchley, not MK Central, as it’s closer and there are some pubs nearby or on the way to the ground. Nearby is the 8 Belles, on an indirect route is the Dolphin (my local back in the day), on the way is McCarthy’s bar. There is a Weatherspoon’s on a not very direct route in Bletchley. This also takes you towards Fenny Stratford where there is no shortage of pubs but, apart from the Red Lion, not sure if they welcome away fans
If travelling down by car people often stop in Stony Stratford which still has a good selection of pubs, if you’ve done this before and used the Plough it’s now a Gastro pub so suggest giving that particular pub a miss.
Nearer the ground there is the Beacon, not sure how welcoming they are. As mentioned there are some restaurants right next to the ground but no actual pubs.
If starting in Central MK there are some pubs near the Hub but the best selection is in the Theatre District or Xscape.

Car parks are separated. I know Asda is 2 hours max on match day, enforced by cameras. Parking for the shops and restaurants I think is stewarded so you may need to blag your way in.
Parking for any event (concerts, sports events, etc) at Stadium MK is crap. Football is actually slightly better due to the lower numbers ?

It's a city now. Part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.Â
I've got no love for MK Dons but there is a lot I like about the city itself.

Gladram reacted to Gaspode in Krystian Bielik - Joined Birmingham on a 3 year deal
He’d got his international manager saying he needed to play at a higher level to get in the World Cup squad and we needed his wages off the books so we could bring more players in - not really sure there was any lack of loyalty in those circumstances….

Interesting statement from PNE owners. Underlines the financial challenges of competing in Championsip football. Kirchner also gets a mention, though not named.
