Do you know if you can in the Cinema/Shops/Asda car parks etc? Not sure how they can stop you really as people could be going to cinema and restaurants for a few hours too.

Car parks are separated. I know Asda is 2 hours max on match day, enforced by cameras. Parking for the shops and restaurants I think is stewarded so you may need to blag your way in.

Parking for any event (concerts, sports events, etc) at Stadium MK is crap. Football is actually slightly better due to the lower numbers ?

  2. As a local, born in Derbyshire but brought up in Bletchey, I can give a bit of guidance on pre-game drinks. I don't go near there on match days so happy to be corrected by others but might be helpful.

There are a few options but depends how you are travelling. If going by train go to Bletchley, not MK Central, as it’s closer and there are some pubs nearby or on the way to the ground. Nearby is the 8 Belles, on an indirect route is the Dolphin (my local back in the day), on the way is McCarthy’s bar. There is a Weatherspoon’s on a not very direct route in Bletchley. This also takes you towards Fenny Stratford where there is no shortage of pubs but, apart from the Red Lion, not sure if they welcome away fans

If travelling down by car people often stop in Stony Stratford which still has a good selection of pubs, if you’ve done this before and used the Plough it’s now a Gastro pub so suggest giving that particular pub a miss.

Nearer the ground there is the Beacon, not sure how welcoming they are. As mentioned there are some restaurants right next to the ground but no actual pubs.

If starting in Central MK there are some pubs near the Hub but the best selection is in the Theatre District or Xscape.

Regardless of whether the decision is right or not, I wonder who makes these assessments as surely David Clowes doesn't have that kind of knowledge yet

David Clowes has seen more Derby games than most fans and I'm sure had a view on this before he bought the club.

Liam was the easiest option but, as only interim manager, I'd guess he's always had concerns, as a fan and owner. The start may not of changed this view?

  4. I think part of the trust issue was the other players, particularly some of the older ones, didn't trust him to keep the ball. Watching games when we were playing out from the back players like Phil Jagielka seemed very reluctant to pass to Louie when he had his back to goal.

In the attacking half facing the goal he's very good, just needs to be stronger back to goal.

I think not not getting the ball when he felt he should and losing it when he shouldn't was often the source of his frustration which got him booked.

Played in the right system, where he gets the ball to feet facing the goal, he'll do very well.

it's okay laughing at that but why have we beaten boro? i certainly hope its because hes a local lad and doesnt want to move. and not down to us offering more money, if its the latter we have learnt nothing.

    Extract from EFL Statement

As part of the conditions of continuing membership in the EFL, the Club, whilst remaining under a registration embargo, will be permitted to sign new players in accordance with the terms of a business plan.

The plan, which has been jointly agreed by the new ownership and the EFL, includes restrictions in respect of transfers fees, player wages and agents’ fees. Any application to register players must comply with the terms of those agreed plans.

    i certainly hope so.

everytime i suggest something i get shouted down. i just want clarity, because if we genuinely have offered more money than boro then questions need to be asked.

We're under a transfer embargo which means we can't sign anyone without EFL approval. EFL will see the contract and know exactly what our budget is and will likely of set a wage  limit as per Wigan and Bolton.

Clowes will of provided proof that he can cover the budget.

So, the signings are within a budget we can afford. Apart from its the only thing you seem to post  so obviously keeps you occupied, I don't see why you keep asking the same question when we give you the same answer.

glad you chaps have faith in the efl transfer restrictions that would stop us getting into financial damage, worked well last time didnt it.

i just feel its the completely wrong direction to go down, journeymen players on big wages. almost a league one tribute act of our championship dealings under mel. we have to move on from these type of players. old teams just dont do very well anymore, football is a young mans game.

Taking the first point. EFL will be involved in all signings and will monitor us very closely (Wigan and Bolton are recent examples of this). If we stray from the budget they'll be down on us immediately not a couple of years later when we finally release the accounts.

Your second point I tend to agree with but you didn't mention this in your first post, just us going bust.

if the names on that list are true then we will be in admin again before next year

    do we learn nothing

Why? As mentioned in the article we'll have a set budget which the EFL have approved and Clowes will of needed to show he has the funds to support.

EFL happy with the funds to spend on playing  budget? Surely that has feck all to do with them or does it mean they're happy because it's a low amount and it could result in another relegation?

Coming out of administration you have an agreed business plan, budget. This Is to stop clubs going in to admin, clearing debts and then spending it on players.
