Pushing my agenda, what is that meant to mean? Why ignore last season, he was Manager wasn’t he? He has had a really difficult job but coming out with a statement of fact that nobody else could have done better is nonsense, just fits your agenda perhaps…

Who knows, but the statement that nobody could have done better is meaningless. Someone else could possibly have won more than 4 games in 32…..

If Rooney was as switched on as people suggest, he would have brought in his own people when he was offered the job permanently.

It's pathetic our fans turning on Rooney. Absolutely pathetic. We have a threadbare squad and have been overperforming. Now we inevitably start to struggle with our lack of options and immediately some fans are throwing the toys out the pram. Get real. Nobody we could appoint could get more out of this squad than Rooney. He's doing a good job.

That argument can never be proved or disproved unfortunately so is an easy statement to make. 

Come on guys, don’t be so down in the dumps.

Why is it laughable? Forest were bottom of the league when Hughton left. They had won 1 in 13 league games dating back to April, losing 8 of those. Poor, negative, flaccid football had been a feature. Morale was on the floor and disgruntlement rife, and a previously accomplished manager at this level found his reputation very much damaged. I am not seeing the appeal yet, are you?
On the face of it, yes, a big club, but with question marks over the owner, the transfer strategy and the size and make up of the squad, it can’t have been an easy sell.
I can comprehend very well the restrictions Rooney is and has been working under. Perhaps we just have different ideas on just how debilitating they are.

... Not one knock at the door.  Saturday or Sunday!  Quite a surprise... but absolute Bliss! 
 
... When we did used to answer the door, years ago, I used to have a shoe box, with a load of strings hanging out, and held it above their heads so they couldn't see inside.
"Pick a string", I'd goad the little sods!!
One was tied to a fiver.  About half a dozen stuck to £1 coins.  Similar number to 50p's.  A couple of dozen were attached to 1p pieces, and a couple of dozen attached to various lollies, choc bars, mini bags of dolly mixture or similar.  I think I threw in a couple of yoyos one year?
And finally... 3 Dozen strings, attached to duck all!
 
I enjoyed it as much as the kids!  To see their disappointment when pulling an ungifted piece of string was a glorious sight to behold!
...And shut the bloody gate on the way out!   Mwahahaha!

Personally, I don’t think it’s a question of loyalty. Clubs are not knocking the door down and he’ll have to do more to convince clubs of his credentials. Keeping us up or making a very good fist of it is what will attract attention.
Rooney has done some good but retaining our Championship status is what counts.
I don’t think it’s unfathomable for the mood to turn or indeed for the owners to want their own man should the equation start to become a number cruncher.
Fans and owners alike have short memories. A manager comes in and gets us winning more regularly and Rooney will be a distant memory.

Any new owner/investor will surely be desperate to stay in the Championship and so of course they will be paying close attention to Rooney’s ability to get results.
It is easy to say his job is safe under the circumstances, but this is modern football.
Three wins from 15 leaves a lot of room for improvement. It is not hard to envisage a situation where the new ownership look for a shot in the arm or to make a statement appointment if results lurch further.
They won’t want to take on a sitting duck.
