For me avoiding relegation is the main target next season.
The Championship has improved recently and the football is way better than L1.
There will be some very good teams !
-
Hope my stats are correct but I thought I’d look at the average attendance for the mighty Rams promotion from L1 compared to the L1 promotion season from that team where they made frilly pants.
DCFC 20/23 - 27,278
Trees - 07/08 - 19,956
As the great man said Nottingham never has been and never will be a footballing City !
COYR !

I’ve not posted anything about Warne for a good while - I didn’t want to be negative at this point of the season and felt I just needed to get behind the team no matter how they play - it’s all about getting points on the board.
But today is awful and rather than scraping a win we are losing and Warnes limitations as a manager are blindingly obvious 😞

A few huge slices of luck this evening with another terrible ref - but all that matters are the 3 points - I would have liked a more convincing performance though and didn’t enjoy sitting back against 10 men !
-
For me this is a timely little reminder of what Clowes has done and how lucky we are to have a club.
Quite sobering really….

Defending Warne by saying we are second in the league is madness - this league is so poor and won’t be this poor next season - if you add the points he has thrown away by his negative and shockingly limited tactics we would be top and 10 points clear.
Not the performance I wanted on the day I receive an email asking me to part with £537 to renew my season ticket…

Don’t forget Charlton are awful !

So predictable….. every home game the same - I don’t mind admitting I seriously dislike our manager.

Warne will inevitably get pelters for formation etc etc but the fact of it is we couldn't string 2 passes together for the majority of that game, we were shocking in possession that's on the players.
What every game ?
-
Awful half - even worse than usual which is not surprising seeing we have no recognised striker.
Warne said he wouldn’t bring anyone in who didn’t improve the squad - I think we might regret that.

I see the dipstick meltdown is still in progress.
Just another excuse to stick the knife in Warne.
Yes because no one saw our one striker getting an injury did they !

I'm sorry, I can't help myself, but just to balance out this thread, we have one more point on the board, we are still second, there are 45 points still to play for, we can still get promoted, and yes I am a happy clapper!
Fair enough but were you there today ?

It’s not the substitution that annoyed me it’s the sitting back when 1-0 against a worse team than us 😞

That we will get the same hysterics on here every time we don't win a game.
Pretty easy one to predict.
Not the fact that we don’t win - it’s the way we throw the win away that grates ! And the fact we don’t push on and look happy with a 1-0 against a team who are way below us in the league.

That game was Warne all over - poor disjointed first half and go ahead in the second with one moment of quality.
Sit back and try to hold on then acted shocked that we don’t.
Why don’t we ever push on and try to score more rather than sitting back ?! Why not take advantage of the twelfth man ? Look how much the crowd get behind you when we do attack ? Why can’t Warne see this ?
People will scoff but his tactics are woeful.

So Warne has just said on Radio Derby that he only looked in the domestic market and not internationally ???!!

If we’ve sold a decent young talent. For the love of god don’t sign some garbage with the funds.
It’s the Warne way !

Don't really get the loan back part, he's got nothing to prove to them, won't want to pick up any injuries before his move either, we'd of been better to squeeze an extra couple hundred grand and let him move now.
Agreed surely his heart won’t be in it ?

I guess because he’s unproven as a goal scorer at this level in stark contrast to Gregory and Smith.
I appreciate we won’t know until he’s given a shot but quick results seems to be the order of the day.
True but we have one fit striker ?!?

I struggle with Warne. I see nothing in the way we set up that gives me any confidence. I don’t really understand what the style of play is, we never seem to have any in midfield, yet somehow we look short up top and in defence. We get results, so I guess something must be right, though I do suspect that it might be due to our players just being individually better, but it’s not a great watch. We’ve won today, but it’s another unconvincing performance. I can’t think of many games over his tenure where I think we’ve played well and we look no different to the way we were after his first few games. If he left tomorrow I wouldn’t be upset
I feel very similar !
Birmingham relegated.

The Ram page have just posted a video of the Birmingham fans singing ‘we are all having a party when Derby County die’ at PP a few years ago - zero sympathy from me for that club…
