I’m ok with that as long as the anti warne brigade are prepared to not make us that want to give him a bit of time so much more frustrated and down when games don’t go as well , cuts both ways 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think his point is due to the injuries.
We have three key players out for ten weeks and fewer incoming than expected. I took it as a plea to get bodies in pronto.

Looked at a different way, he is a Championship (or above) player for many years and has taken a step down.
The McGoldrick factor is in play, as they have experience and they are objectively better players.  Waghorn might struggle in Championship, but take a step down and suddenly he appears to have improved.
I suspect had we been in Championship last year, McGoldrick would have been ordinary.

Absolutely.  There were people saying "please someone save our club".  The problem is, for all bar the properly super rich (who can do it as one big ego trip) for most owning something like this is a commercial enterprise.  I genuinely saw no one willing to "save the club", after all - why would they?  (would you, even if you had the money save Bury?)  We might all want to for DCFC, but I doubt there are many on this forum who can afford to.
Clowes was probably the only person in the whole world to have a) the enthusiasm and b) the money.  He stepped up to the plate.  The man can do no wrong in my book.

    2007 team were unlucky.
Billy Davies, in my opinion, was a good manager, took a team that should have been relegation favourites to Premier League.  No investment once there meant - his 'friend', who Billy Davies would never not name drop, Alex Ferguson, would have been relegated with.  If we had lost the play off he'd have lasted a few years.
If we got rid of Warne, Billy would be my number one choice.  Should never have been sacked for what he achieved.

I can’t see Paul Warne and his assistants walking away from around 3 years worth of probably the highest salaries they have ever received. Yes it may take it’s toll but I am pretty certain that we would have to sack them, no way would they resign.
Even an agreement by mutual consent is unlikely in my opinion. We simply cannot afford to sack the managerial team at this moment in time.
All very worrying if you are a Derby fan….

Who do you think we are going to get as manager if he does go?  I don't think the penny is dropping: We are not getting a Lampard, Rooney or Cocu.  We'll get someone obscure, or new, or out in the cold - the one thing they will be is cheap.  The three years we'd need to pay for would further limit the field.
Whether you like it or not, he is the best shot we have got.  It is easy to snipe, but that is the reality we live in.
The grass is often greener until it isn't.  And PS, I was sad LR went - but when he did, and a four year deal, means we are where we are.

To me, the idea that PW is or would feel like he is under any pressure after only 2 games of a season is laughable.
So many on here need to give their heads a wobble and look at the situation we are in, and more realistically set their standards. PW won't be (and doesn't deserve to be) sacked anytime soon. I do think he should move away from a back 3, but calling for his head in early August is farcical.

I don't think he is that short term in his thinking.  I think if Warne does not rectify, and put plans in to rectify, issues then there might be a conversation to be had next year (certainly after Christmas); at the moment we have lost one game (and a cup game).  We get a win against Burton the cycle revolves and "we have this in the bag" comments will start appearing.
It isn't going to be as good as we hope or as bad as we fear.
