SandiacreRam reacted to cannable in Craig Forsyth - served 10 years
Still think he was vastly under-appreciated as a left-back for us.
In his first two seasons he was the best arguably the best left-back in the division, only Charlie Daniels really would also be in contention.
He came back from his first two ACL injuries to win his place back from Olsson who had been Blackburn’s POTS before joining us.
He then fought off £3,000,000 signing Scott Malone, who himself was coming off of being named in the league TOTS and a season in the Prem to keep his starting place before his third ACL.
I never got it. He’s one of those players that when he has a stinker he has a STINKER but they were always only ever once or twice a season.

SandiacreRam reacted to Comrade 86 in Stephen Pearce...didn't get out of our club
Pretty clear that behind the veneer, Morris was a raging egomaniac. I'm more inclined to believe that Pearce was the one left desperately trying to hold everything together, than the one of the principal causes. In truth, only Morris, Q and Mr Clowes would really know and both of the latter two have supported him to the hilt. Perhaps that should be good enough for us fans, though it's completely understandable that some find it hard to give him a clean slate.
Whatever the truth, I'd now much rather look forward, than back. The books, by all accounts, look good and the curve is upward. Time to let it go perhaps?

SandiacreRam reacted to ram59 in We are Derby
Is it just as important for us on the forum to get behind the team? When forum members have a go at players on the forum, is it similar to booing a player when his name is read out before the match?
I know the basic essence of a forum is to voice your opinion, but should we try to resist that temptation when we know that players read these comments and that they are likely to have a detrimental effect on their performance?
It's one thing telling your mates over a pint, that x couldn't hit a barn door or trap a bag of cement or that he's got no loyalty to the club, but would you say these things to the player's face. Also, these sometimes-unfair comments influence others, which then feeds down to the terraces and creates a barrier to the team's performances.
As the title says, we ARE Derby, we are part of this great club, collectively, we can help this club, but, individually and collectively, we can also be a hinderance.

You get $10k per day a player is involved ( in squad) plus 14 days pre tournament..so if Poland knocked out on Sunday that will equate to $280k

Good game. Solid point, especially given the injuries. Pleasing to see us mix it up more but still feel we look to go long more often than needed, Cashin certainly did this a few times.
McGoldrick, looks so casual and effortless yet excellent, a shame we had him isolated too often.
As for Sibley, only his second yellow in the league. Playing in a position that really doesn't suit him but he is doing what the manager asks. Again like his last match, thought he was much better second half, having been rather exposed first half. This is his longest run in the team since Cocu and he hasn't had the same position! He might not progress to the player we hoped, but he hasn't had much chance to show it. Support him!!

Spot on...he is putting a real shift in , in a position that is alien to him and probably doesn’t enjoy playing ...he’s a no 10 imo
Imo thiis exactly what you need from a player, we should be lauding him not calling him

SandiacreRam reacted to TuffLuff in Portsmouth (A) Fri 18th Nov 2022
Well we had a LB in the middle of a back three, an attacking midfielder LWB, a midfielder at RB, a lad with his second league start at RCB, a lad with a handful of games in centre midfield, coming off a tough schedule of games…think we did pretty well.
Collins had one of those games, getting frustrated with others whilst running about achieving little.
Sky Sports giving Dale MOTM who did nothing all game against Sibley as a LWB???
Sibley will have his critics but I think a game like tonight will do him some good because he will learn positional play by playing in that position. He did ok tonight all things considered. I think he’s learnt more these last 10 games than he’s done in the previous 90.
Defensively we were excellent, in fairness so were they. We had the better chances but a draw a fair result. Our best chances never fell to the player you would want it to unfortunately.
Quite funny seeing a side getting frustrated by time wasting at throw ins considering they have a whole routine involving towels for every throw in all game.

That was a pretty professional performance.
Lots of honest endeavour, good defending and occasional good football.
Thought the midfield three did well for an hour then got a bit tired.
McGoldrick playing up front with little support. He needs one of the younger lads so his guile can free their pace.
Overall pleased with that and would have accepted a draw before the game given our injuries and recent fixture congestion.

Same could be said about your posts on this forum.
He wasn’t great but he’s an attacking midfielder playing left wing back. Ridiculous comment.
