jimtastic56 Posted Monday at 16:07 Share Posted Monday at 16:07 December will be a tricky month for us - 4 games against Parachute Teams + WBA . We don’t want a pile of injuries before then as we will be waiting for the January window to open . If we have any setbacks - us fans will have to hold our nerve . Logically, you'd therefore expect us to be targetting at least 1 point a game away. Having spoken to one player (and without them giving too much away), it seems the more realistic expectation would be in the 55-60 range. Who is this negative ninny you speak of? He should be flogged for a lack of faith in the New Derby project. Blasphemer!
rammieib Posted Monday at 18:53 Share Posted Monday at 18:53 Does 69 points get you in the play-offs? Asking for a friend.

Leicester Ram Posted Monday at 20:46 Share Posted Monday at 20:46 5 games in is (roughly) a ninth of the season and we’ve (roughly) got a fifth of the way to 50 points - aka Championship safety Even if we drop off, aren’t as good in the next 5 games, we’ve made a big step towards safety already. Get to 50 points and then see where we are in the table.
Nuwtfly Posted Monday at 20:51 Share Posted Monday at 20:51 (edited) Obviously it’s too early to look at the table but that’s not going to stop me going to the BBC Sport website and glancing at us sat there above Leeds, Boro and Stoke every 5 minutes. Got to enjoy it whilst it lasts 🙂 Edited Monday at 20:52 by Nuwtfly MaltRam, kash_a_ram_a_ding_dong, MarsdenRam and 1 other 3

Fun to look and beats most pre-season predictions though. Enjoy it. Are we fans or stattos? kevinhectoring
RadioactiveWaste Posted Tuesday at 07:52 Share Posted Tuesday at 07:52 As soon as there's games played, there's no harm in looking at the table. I think I'm happy to conclude we've had a decent start to the season
Top Lino Posted Tuesday at 08:19 Share Posted Tuesday at 08:19 Don't worry about the table at the moment - just get to 50 points as soon as possible and then review the situation. There will be times during the season why we lose 3 or 4 on the trot but when that happens there is no need for panic and calling for Manager to be sacked. After all that is the Stoke way !!! brady1993 Posted Tuesday at 11:18 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:18 I think our main issue might be injuries. On evidence of the last two games our 'first 11' is quite likely pretty good in the division. Hard to say exactly how good but quite a bit better than relegation and probably mid table minimum. However I think there is a cliff in quality in places of the squad. There is both a few key players who if were injured for a long time our prospects would be drastically worse and the same is true of some squad players if they had to play for a substantial number of games. MadAmster
The table shows which teams have "hit the ground running" and is indicative of current form. It is not indicative of where clubs will be come May. Every club will have good and bad runs at some point in the season. Thus far we've lost both away games and they were against the current 3rd and 5th teams. Next 2 away are against the current 6th and 2nd. We also have two winnable home games coming up against Norwich and QPR. Win both home games and maybe get a point or two in the away games and we will have had a very good start, especially considering we'll have played 4 of the top 6 away. Even losing the 2 away games could see us on 15 points from 9 games. Not a bad start at all, provided we get the points, that is. As Ian Dury sang, reasons to be cheerful... ...but not to be OTT.
