Really poor first half overall from us. Much too big of a gap between Smith/Fornah and the forwards, so they have been lacking passing options. The crossing has been absolutely appalling apart from the final one that resulted in the goal. NML hasn't been his usual self ... he's barely ran at the full back all day. Barks has been decent, got in behind their full back a few times and put in the only decent cross I can remember, but other than him it's been below par all over the pitch I reckon.

To be fair Barkhuizen put over a good one earlier which NML fluffed on his left foot

Can always support another team mate.

Bonus is that you won't be posting on this forum either.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

What and miss out on your continuous laughable support of what you perceive as football? No way, you give me more entertainment than the football itself.

Why can't we just get the ball down and outplay them.  They're rubbish and we just allow ourselves to get dragged down to their level.

It has to be a mentality thing. I can't imagine pep saying to City before they play Luton "there are no such things as easy games, we have to be at our best or we'll lose". Why can't we puff out our chests a bit and take the game to teams? What's wrong with confidence?

“Grim in parts” is the key bit here. It was poor in moments, but wasn’t anywhere near as bad as some are quick to make out.

The lads didn’t seem quite at it, Cheltenham have a new manager and have put in a lot of effort, but we did create chances, there were some moments of passing football, just poorly executed in the final third and sloppy in possession to give a goal away.
Another half of football for the team to show more effort and quality. NML to come off, one of the front 2 as well, get a Bird, Sibley or Hourihane in as the 10 and put Wilson on for NML.

“Moments of passing football”. At this stage of the season, there should be more than moments!

Who?

Sibley. For all Warne’s plaudits about his finishing he doesn’t seem to be what’s wanted. Probably on a decent Champ wage, which Warne would have available to spend on a specialist LWB. Likewise, if I’m Sibley I’d be calling my agent on a regular basis to find me a club. I’m not Sibley’s biggest fan, but if he can’t get a regular game this season under Warne, he never will.

Two issues - Cheltenham are pretty physical, and wrestling apart aren’t dirty, but we have been out-physicalled, if there is such a word. Secondly I am concerned about Collin’s attitude. He hasn’t done much , but he has bern mardy about it. And thirdly (yes, I know that is about “Spanish Inquisition”!), but it moght be a half-reasonble idea to have a number 10 playing the number 10 role. Shove Waggy up front, and swop Collins for a number 10.

You’re right, sorry, let’s get the pitchforks sharpened and the torches lit before the game is even over….

The lads haven’t been at it, Warne has made a half time change so must recognise that too.

Totally agree so far, but we all know as soon as we criticise Collins he scores. So can some other people join in?

Is our manager strong enough to rip into them, or does he still want to be pals with the team.
We look as if we are playing the worst team in the league, but don’t have to put the effort in to beat them.
Second half will be interesting if Mr Warne has had a serious chat.

That’s Barker’s job

Nothing to do with “pitchforks out”. I’m commenting that we should be passing much more at this stage of the season. I hope we do turn it around second half!

This is my main issue with us at the minute. Too much respect for our opposition.
