GK

- re-sign  both back ups from last season

RB /RWB Poole or Ward - Lincoln /Peterborough both out of contract

CB - Flint , Bradley , Harding , Robertson ( 2 of these + Roberts)

LB - loan from premier league

CAM- Sell sibley and or knight sign Brannagan

LW - Rodrigues Notts County

RW- the young lad from rangers or fast player from Chesterfield

CF - I’d love Langstaff or  Alfie May or I’d sign Clarke- Harris for most of our budget + Bonnis

Flint can’t defend…

Troy Parrott would be the perfect signing on loan, can play left/right wing and up front in a two, was called tottenhams fittest player during last years pre season, so would suit the high intensity game Warne will want to play.

3 goals in nearly 30 appearances on loan at Preston 🤔

Type of young player who looks to be faltering when was once very very highly rated. Could be one to potentially sign permanent down the road when still has age on his side. Not saying him in particular, but I'm sure there's similar types of stories we're looking at.

Preston are a dreadful team for scoring goals also only had 21 starts, would create more chances than sibley, dobbin and Barkhuizen from the wing

Tom Cannon didn’t do too badly for them, we were linked with him at a similar time to when we got Dobbin.

Both Parrott and Scarlett, who is another highly rated Spurs youngster, have come to League 1 and failed to set the world alight though. Scarlett got 4 in 30 for Pompey last season, Parrott had 8 in 41 at MK Dons the season before.

McGoldrick was never prolific then hit 25. Sometimes it just clicks for a certain player, which is why we need to get recruitment right and sign players based on how they suit what we want to do, rather than just their record. We could sign someone like Parrott and it might click for him here if he was perfect for what Warne wanted.

I can just see Parrot flying up the wing the Cannon firing them in !!

Like the way Parrott plays “On the shoulder” of the last defender , but he doesn’t score enough goals.

Deeneeyyyyyy

If Mcgoldrick leaves, we’ll need someone to take up the mantle of well-hard, cool number 9 who can be lauded all season long for his being “brilliant with the younger lads”

Guess who’s just been released by Brum

Ability wise it's not even close.  He might get 10 with his head but I'd expect little else.

Key                  Wiles                   Hourihane       Sparkes

                          Keane              McGoldrick

                                        McGee

              Rooney              Fozzy          Roberts

                                        Smith

NML               Wing                     Sibley          Ogbene

                     Jebbison               Collins

Poole can play RB or RWB, Ogbene can play RWB or up front as can NML. Roberts can plays LWB. Sibley can play LWB at a push.  Enough versatility to play 433 or 442. Sign Bonis if we can't get Jebbison.

Most of these still available. I'm not sure we need to slash our wrists every time someone suggested signs for someone else.
