My new favorite way to kill time is to look at the official DCFC Twitter account posts and watch people get slowly angrier and angrier throughout the day at posts that aren't transfer announcements.

Fingers crossed. I don't feel overly optimistic though as we don’t seem to be able to get the deals over the line at the moment.

After the success of our other player reccomended signing (Waghorn), Warne has turned to the squad for help with recruitment once more. Warne asked if there were any other attacking players who haven't scored more than 2 goals in the last 2 seasons, just like Waghorn did... Hourihane and Bradley both  stepped up and recommended a the same player who hasn't scored more than 2 in the last 4 seasons"

Dom Dietrich asked him if the 2 pending signings are both midfielders and Warne replied “no they’re not, you’ll have to wait and see like everyone else”. Not sure whether that means neither are midfielders or if it’s a midfielder (Fornah?) and a striker/winger or something. Hopefully the announcement isn’t too far away. 

Speculating on the player we missed out on - these were the deals done this week to Championship clubs:

Yasin Ayari [Brighton - Coventry] Loan

Flynn Downes [West Ham - Southampton] Loan

Taylor Gardner-Hickman [West Brom - Bristol City] Loan

It was probably Gardner-Hickman we missed out on. Can play midfield or fullback apparently

In the latest Derby Telegraph article Warne has said there is a player he's been trying to sign this summer who has essentially been holding out for a Championship move, which as of yet, has not materialised. 

Then if it gets to the end of the window and he's not signed anywhere. Then we'll try and get him.

So whoever it is, is currently a free agent. 

Any guesses?

Not necessarily a free transfer from them comments. 
 
No idea who the player is though, if it’s someone who’s been linked maybe it’s Lapado.

At least Arsenal are being up front with the duration as opposed to saying it's a year then recalling him in December to try and get him a championship move leaving us in the lurch.

We can plan around this knowing.
