this part of the ground rarely sells out and remember it was 3,000 short of max.

Ipswich sold out the away allocation with about 3200 of 'em. When ticket sales closed there were 500 or so left unsold.

How on earth could there only be 29K in the ground? Did 2500 season ticket holders really not turn up?

The two rows at the front of West Stand Upper were never on sale and the empty seats were there.

There's a small block in South Stand down at the front in the  west corner that wasn't filled, this is usually empty.

There's all sorts of little pockets like this that don't go on sale until absolutely every other seat is sold.

Around the ground, they all add up.

Seats in the  blocks near the away fans in the East stand have not been on sale for a large part of the season, as has previously been discussed. Also the attendance was 29,691.

Something I didn't notice at the time - the effort Collins put in to chase back to (unsuccessfully) prevent Ipswich's first goal.
Our defenders? Roberts was slowly jogging back, whilst Forsyth was initially held back behind the goal by the Ipswich defender to delay him getting back.

He's a forward, where did he start from?

The startling thing is Wigan being allowed a £13m wage bill despite being under a business plan...

Maybe Wigan haven't learned their lesson and are possibly living beyond their means? Isn't that how Mel got DCFC into financial difficulty? Outgoings significantly more than income. The phrase 'be careful what you wish for' springs to mind.

Glad someone else noticed this, yet another infringement that went unpunished.
