Getting mocked for being in a relegation battle in the Premier League by fans who have just seen their team lose at home to Fleetwood Town in the 3rd tier is a good one.

It's like a 40 year old virgin taking the piss out of Brad Pitt for splitting up with Angelina Jolie.

No it's getting mocked for being in a relegation battle in the Premier League after you've wasted £250 million on 2 teams worth of players but are still reliant on playing the donkeys that you had in the Championship last season.

Subtle difference

Premier League tightens ownership rules.....

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65128593

"The Premier League has also amended the list of criminal offences which would result in disqualification, including those which involve violence, corruption, fraud, tax evasion and hate crimes.

It also has new power to stop those wishing to become a director of a club if they are under investigation for conduct that would result in a disqualifying event if it is proven."

Anyone know of a club that was punished retrospectively when a rule was changed?

Closer to £300m I heard. Isn't that how it works? Other fans from other clubs know more about the in's & out's of other clubs finances than their own, just because they read somewhere on the internet?

Perhaps he could enlighten us as to what the real figure is?

I can't be arsed to dedicate any real time to it, so simply going off the ever-unreliable transfermarkt for a vague idea it's €184.25 / £162m before you start thinking about signing on & agent's fees for the roughly 30 players brought in.

They have at least saved themselves some cash on appearance fees and goal bonuses for most of them!

ESPN have the figures of £173.5 million for the two transfer windows excluding add ons for Gibbs White which could add another £15.5 million. Factor in the supposed FREE transfers and loan fees and I think you could comfortably call it over £200 million.
