1of4
A couple of fireworks just been set off, they sound to have come from the same direction that most random fireworks come from. The culprit seems to like marking the start and end of the weekend around this time of the year.

But surely at this point it’s no more distressing than a car back firing or a load exhaust. Not the same as the constant barrage around November 5th. They only go off at midnight for around 10 minutes, prepared for them. Not the same as Halloween where they can go off between 4pm and midnight for a month. ramit
It's like a war zone here. At least it's windy, so the smoke blows in the direction of Scotland. Happy New Year Norman and i-Ram

First (incredibly loud) one was at 3.30pm in Littleover (while it was still light) - not sure if they were just having a practice for later or if they managed to blow themselves up as there were then only a couple more until late evening.... We’ve all had a premature mini volcano incident in the past haven’t we?
Red_Dawn
I'll add that I can't stand them and my dog loses his mind every time its bonfire night/NYE. Can't holds it against people for celebrating on those specific days but having them on a random night isn't appreciated..
