Think the attendance will be down because a few will be on holiday. A few encouraging performances and the fans on the fence will be back.

Summer always sees lower crowds - its peak holiday time and many will be away especially those like us ahead of both sets of exam results unusually next week, some will be committed to playing cricket for a couple of weeks yet (how dare half fans do something with their time) and surely this year the pingdemic/covid cases/caution will affect numbers a little or a lot. Also unfortunately some will just have got into the habit of doing something else they enjoy more on a Saturday.  Many also cant afford it each week especially if wanting to attend with kids. It is a very expensive day.
However, some of you please stop the superiority if you are lucky enough to be able to go each week. And yes I mean lucky. Many cant do that ever or at certain times of their lives. Doesnt mean "these plastic half fans" dont refresh their phone every 2 seconds waiting for news, get butterflies leading up to the game, feel jittery for every second of every game and be depressed/grumpy when we lose.  season tickets wont work for us this year but we will be there whenever we can home and away and we are not less fans because of it

Before this thread gets into a contest about who is the better fan ….

This season we really do need to fully adopt the siege mentality as supporters and players together. Millwall like to do it, the difference is that everyone does hate us at the moment (including most of ourselves).

So during the game let’s forget about the way our club is being decimated and focus on appealing vociferously for every decision - including ones we know shouldn’t really go in our favour- back the players even if we go behind and let the EFL know exactly how we feel. It’s us against the world - make Pride Park as hostile as it can be for visiting teams, you never know, it might make the difference.

I wanna see people walking to the ends of the earth to be there today.
I wanna hear about folk smashing up their piggy banks, for their literal last penny, to donate to the cause of DCFC.
I wanna read about real fans, jumping over the moon in order to attend today's game.
I wanna see soldiers of the Rams Army yomping barefoot across the Sahara, just to cheer on our heroes in Black & White.

... Or at the very least, amble along the 30min/1.9mile route from down by the cricket ground, past Costco, and straight to the NE Corner, and cash in their freebie season ticket barcode thing... like me!

Hey, that's still commitment, right?  ?

Whatever happens lets not turn on the team-in a strange way for the first time in many a season I really do feel the team and Rooney are all going to be pulling together-Curtis Davis showed his mettle last season when we were desperate and maybe he is the leader we need.Mel wants out, people want Mel out protesting isn't going to change things only create a toxic atmosphere .Lets just support-its us against the EFL.  COYR

I have just listened to the full Rooney interview, if that wasnt a call to action for the fans to get behind the team I dont know what is. I loved the way he rejected the term trialist for the players training with us. They are still there because of him and still waiting to sign for us because of him. He also said he was sleeping in his office trying to get deals done.

I hope the senior managers of DCFC take something from Wayne and be as professional in showing their comittment to the club.

cheer on Wayne and cheer on the lads, thats wht i will be doing at 3pm today from the upper east stand COYR's
