therealhantsram
Count 'em. FOUR Rams players. Just for comparison, 2 from Chelsea. 2 from Man City. 2 from Arsenal. 1 from Liverpool. 1 from Man Utd. That's the company we're keeping (or beating ? )
Ambitious
I'm surprised Bird has been left out, although I don't believe he has any apps for the England youth sides bizarrely. The other four have been ever-present in the England youth teams so no surprised to see them get called up. It bodes well for us.
roboto
I'd expect more prem players to be announced in the U21 squad later. Maybe Bird will be included in that squad?
roboto
Actually, no Derby players in the U21 squad. Panzo (who we were linked with before he moved to Dijon) is in the squad though. England Under-21 squad for Andorra & Turkey: Goalkeepers: Ellery Balcombe (Brentford), Josef Bursik (Stoke, on loan at Doncaster), Aaron Ramsdale (Sheffield United) Defenders: Max Aarons (Norwich), Ben Godfrey (Norwich), Marc Guehi (Chelsea, on loan at Swansea), Reece James (Chelsea), James Justin (Leicester), Tariq Lamptey (Brighton), Jonathan Panzo (Dijon), Japhet Tanganga (Tottenham) Midfielders: Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Josh Dasilva (Brentford), Tom Davies (Everton), Ebere Eze (Crystal Palace), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), Oliver Skipp (Tottenham, on loan at Norwich) Forwards: Rhian Brewster (Liverpool), Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea), Dwight McNeil (Burnley), Eddie Nketiah (Arsenal), Reiss Nelson (Arsenal), Ryan Sessegnon (Tottenham)

Carl Sagan
Fantastic day for the academy, even if Bobby has only just joined. Now they all need to keep working hard and make it through into the full squad. I can dream...

They do have weird eligibility rules for these things. His birthday's end June so presumably this cycle kicked off before then and it's "21 and under" rather than "under 21". Jubbs
Max Bird born in 2000 so not available for U20's, competition in U21's is strong.
Gaspode
Could the fact that Bobby's in there suggest that he's closer to playing than we've been led to believe? Pretty sure England would have spoken to the club regading his fitness before calling him up.....

Hopefully we can keep them long enough for them to develop into top quality players and play apart in our team and not others.

Marriot Ram99
With our injury record you would rather them not get called up in some ways, if Sibley and Knight get long term injuries we will be well and truly stuffed. We have been the most unlucky team ever in the last year so fingers crossed for no injuries.
