I don't know. You tell me. But read your own link before you do.

The Definition of an Illegal Immigrant

1. Illegal immigrants do not have the right to remain in the UK. They may have entered legally but failed to leave when they were required to do so. Alternatively, they may have entered the UK illegally.

So, question is, if someone legally enters the country, legally gets employed and legally pays taxes, once their right to stay ends do they stop paying tax?

So do you want these people being housed and fed before feeding British citizens that cannot afford to eat (for which I await your evidence)?

No, I think my humanity stretches to feeding people regardless of where they come from. I certainly don't see feeding anyone as a waste of money.

No that was a bit unfair actually. Maybe they could use some of the thousands of pounds they pay to cross the channel to feed themselves instead.

For a stated non-political forum, this forum sure has a lot of political comment, most of it allowed and with the support of moderation, as it is anti-Government/Tory party.

Keep the red flag flying boys, I think I will stick to the football threads where those in Red are despised.

That's not true to be fair, exchange 'support of' to 'promoted by' and then I will accept it.

Oddly enough I was thinking something different. I know that will shock you.

Me and G STAR obviously won't see eye to eye. But the discussion hasn't turned personal. We've challenged each other where we think there's reason to. No posts from anyone have been removed because they don't fit someone's agenda. Clearly me and G STAR aren't seeing the world from the same perspective and never will.

It's a political subject, a prominent footballer is raising the plight of underprivileged children and the government's responsibility towards them. It's largely steered away from party politics, but of course Rashford raising the question leads conversation towards the actions of the government of the day. I wouldn't say that the forum is non-political, but we discourage discussion on party politics, and of course the dreaded B-word.

And I'm not sure what it means when you say "the support of moderation"? Do you mean I shouldn't have an opinion, presumably because you mostly don't agree with it?

I promise I've not removed all the posts supporting the Conservative Party.

I try to make sure arguments stay civil, that people don't throw personal insults at other members and nobody libels the forum. I follow those rules regardless of what the posters views are. Many posters on here I have similar views to, I've had to give out warnings to. Far, far more than I've given to the people I don't agree with.

fair point, so on that basis I assume any political subject raised by anyone is ok, so if I create a thread on anti-semitism because its very relevant today, it's ok and won't be deleted ?

In general, it depends if it gets party political.

In specific, that thread would be removed as religious discussion is not allowed.

Yep will do when you prove that kids are going hungry.

In fact I wont even wait for you to provide your evidence.

Did you read the twitter feed I posted on page 4 of this thread?

It sets out the numbers without a political standpoint.

It's not exactly an echo chamber. G-Star is contributing just as much as those on the opposite side.

I didn’t suggest it was an echo chamber, but as you so say it is pretty much G-Star against the rest. Not that I am standing up for him, or his views. My point that this is either a forum that allows political comment or it doesn’t.  It still seems to me that their is strong socialist bias on this board, and that a red political view is more likely to be allowed rather than a blue one. Not a problem for me as I am happy to reduce my input in such threads, and this reply is simply to be courteous to you young fella.

That'd be because he's droning on endlessly about needing proof that kids are going unfed. I don't really know where politics comes into that line of questioning, nor into the responses it attracts.

As has been said on numerous occasions already, this is a humanitarian issue, not a political one. Irrespective of which party was in power, there would have been a backlash and rightly so.
