That'd be because he's droning on endlessly about needing proof that kids are going unfed. I don't really know where politics comes into that line of questioning, nor into the responses it attracts.

As has been said on numerous occasions already, this is a humanitarian issue, not a political one. Irrespective of which party was in power, there would have been a backlash and rightly so.

My point was more of a general perspective rather this specific thread discussion point. When a poster wants to reinforce his position by dragging a 2013 expense claim by one MP into the equation my thoughts and opinions were to escape the discussion and focus on football matters. Again I reply to you out of courtesy.

No mate, just you and your inane wafflings. Keep it up though. We all need something to laugh at in these dark and sombre times though in all honesty, you should really be thanking me for boosting your pitiful ratings.

I didn’t suggest it was an echo chamber, but as you so say it is pretty much G-Star against the rest.

It could just be that very few people share his opinion on hungry kids. Or they do, but he is the only one brave enough to bravely raise his head above the parapet. Even people like Farage were on Rashford's side.

Well out of courtesy then, allow me to respond. The relevance was that he downvoted the bill. Pure and simple. It's his hypocrisy that is being highlighted not the party of which he is a member.

There have been so many criticisms of the mods on these threads in recent times, it sometimes makes me wonder why people put themselves to the trouble of reading them.

You missed the point of the post.

Paragraph 1) His ‘cheating’ has no relevance whatsoever to how he voted in this, or any, bill.

Paragraph 2) The threads can be of interest to those less partisan than you. However, their enjoyment is diminishing as the left take over. No matter, you enjoy keep baiting Gstar knowing your back will be covered by the Socialist Workers Committee.

I will let Gstar fight his corner however he might wish. As I responded to 86P, which he found funny, which was nice, my point is more general as to political comments are being allowed to creep back into this pub environment. I say pub, I mean Working Men’s Club.

No, you didn’t need to use one MPs cheating to make a point regarding the subject at hand. It has no relevance whatsoever.

Yes. The principles of those that voted against extending free school meals should be questioned. If you want more than one, I can give them to you. Financial probity cannot only apply to others. You shouldn't be exempt just because your stables need heating or because you don't want to fork out for your own fruit gums.

Because you don't see the relevance, doesn't mean it's not relevant.

Ok bud. Really haven’t got the will or desire to debate. Besides I know you to be a closet Tory. Be happy ?

An intelligent person would tell me why I am wrong and convince me to change my view.

Someone not as intelligent would spend their Friday night searching out my posts and post laughing emojis.

I'll let you guess which category you have fallen into.

And a grown man worrying about ratings on an internet forum?

Embarrassed for you.

Sorry, what is my opinion on hungry kids?

I think its comments like 'even Farage' that iRam is talking about, of what relevance is he to a thread on free school meals?

Why not say 'even Jeremy Corbyn'?

Marcus Rashford is a bloody good bloke. I wish I could be as committed and care as much.

Sure hes a great guy.

But doesnt he just have the same thoughts as most people, however he has the time, the money and the fame to have his thoughts heard?

Should we take it then that you don't subscribe to his outlook simply because you don't have his time or money? Are the two things inextricably entwined?
