I've seen someone else say the investment search isn't going very well, that a hedge fund was close to fully taking over and the directors resigned as they weren't happy with the deal, but it fell at the last hurdle. They reckon Mel is desperate to sell. If it is Turkish consortium, there was one that tried to buy Newcastle in 2017, but that was the richest man in Turkey so I cant see him going for Derby, unless he has a thing for black and white. Ambitious Posted November 7, 2019 Share Posted November 7, 2019 I've just read the article, it seems that one guy tried to forge his way into the club with a fake document saying he had €70m in a bank that didn't exist. It's a crazy world out there. Not entirely sure what he was hoping to get out of it. Let's hope that the new guy comes in with the big money and we can go back to signing the Johnson's, Butterfield's and Blackman's of this world!
