Its because it's the same as the home shirt.

Designer must have been on half a day that day.

And our away kit is also a template used by numerous clubs, so I think the kit being unoriginal isn't really that fair a criticism. Plus, I think we're the only club (so far) using that template, so in it's own way it's unique.

There is always only going to be a certain number of templates available. If they'd used the same template in different colours (ie the away blue) rather than just invert it, it would possibly be more acceptable. But I would still hate the Zebra sleeves.

It looks like the designers been asked

Have you finished that Derby 3rd shirt?

What Derby 3rd shirt? Oh poo.

Ahhh. I know.......

At best it's an unimaginative choice.

What I really wanna know is why the below jackets on the megastore don't look like this?! This is a beauty our Phil is wearing and I want it!

I very much like all new kits and the design of the 'zebra' sleeves especially.

What i dont like however is players wearing the long sleeved 'vest' type shirt underneath it which then makes the shirt scruffy. and contrasts with the 'zebra' stripes of the short sleeve.

I understand why players like to wear the vest but maybe a short sleeve could do?

Why anyone would wear a vest under a top in last nights heat is beyond me!

Did look for that myself the other day but couldn't see it.

Now this will be an opinion which I fully expect to be in the minority and possibly ridiculed for, but I would like the option to have the sponsor on the trainingwear.

I have no real deep love for 32Red Casino, it's just that I feel it adds something extra to the tops without being over the top like Natwest for example on the England Cricket team clothing.

Never been a fan of sponsorless shirts, they look like the old training tops, and now training tops without sponsors just look incredibly bland.

Gambling sponsorships are frowned upon, but as far as appearance goes it doesn't get much better than 32Red, a clean font, no garishness about it and fits in nicely, we could have a lot worse, a hell of a lot worse.

I wouldn't pay to have it printed on as an extra like SkyBet sleeve badges, but if it was a yes/no free option I would take it for the authentic training top look so when I'm walking down the street I can pretend to be a footballer on holiday ?

Some of them are to help in hot weather I believe.

Exactly mate, we use them even at work. The inner core traps the heat and sweat while the outer allows air to circulate thereby cooling the body. Think of it like A/C in a building or a fridge.

That's awful. Nothing like a bit of imagination is there.

Zebras everywhere you look.

Just the blue one for me then.

So I have a confession to make.

Mrs van de Borreltje has been down to PP to buy See, Hear and Speak??? the new 3rd shirt.

She returned bearing the gift of the Zebra?

Having been told she'd spent £162 I thought I'd best humour her and try mine on.

Unexpectedly I liked it and am currently wearing it in the pub and receiving admiring glances.

They seem to like the shirt as well.??
