1967Ram
Will be off out to vote Labour soon. 52 years old. I'm voting for hope not despair (in my opinion). Due to our ridiculous voting system they'll count my vote but my vote won't count. I know I'm not alone in this. All the best to all of you whoever you're voting for. Whatever the outcome lets hope we can beat Millwall on Saturday and get something away at Reading the week after (when I'll be going).

Nope. He used the phrase twice. Both in the context I just described. The general hatred towards those he disagrees with though? That I don’t like. My own company has done similar things, and new entrants have a much poorer deal than when I joined in the 1980s. The Tories won't stop companies from raiding their own pension funds. In fact, they'd probabyl encourage it, given that most of their income comes from big finance. They did actually start the process before privatisation ,BT was the first utility to be privatised but yes I agree entirely with your first paragraph. Change is coming boomer - maybe not this time, but soon enough Boomer would be effective is you were appropriately using it. Is this your first election or something? That isn't a reflection of change. It's notable how over time people switch from Labour to Conservative. Your excellent analytical skills probably can't identify that the older population size is ever increasing. Complete misunderstanding of the data ?? There's also more people in the 50 to 54 age group than any other so that fecks that theory up for a few years.

So he's calling me a ducking idiot for having a different opinion. I'm not wealthy either. Only just about to buy my first house at the age of the 31. There is also nothing wrong with voting Labour. Just not in this election ? Unfortunately some people are so tribal that they would never vote for the Conservatives. Not worth listening to much then. Complete misunderstanding of the point being made ?? Boomers won't be around forever even if the number of oldies continues to swell. What has been suggested is that those boomers who bought their first home with a 3 times annual income mortgage, will be replaced over time by those who have had a far tougher time of it. It's an entirely plausible argument that they will be less likely to view capitalism, austerity and the erosion of a system designed to aid those most in need in such a favourable light as the likes of you. Perhaps if you're going to pour scorn on an argument in such a patronising manner, you'd do well to try and grasp the point being made before doing so. Rev
The candidate I voted for has pledged to give every penny she'll earn as an MP over £35k to local good causes. That naivety almost put me off her, but anyone will be better than Chris Leslie.
