Just out of interest, did Piglet con Pooh by telling him all pubs had been nationalised and it was free beer all night?

No but apparently by the end of the night piglet was fuming because pooh only bought 4 out of the 6 rounds.

So these are the only people we should care about? People who go to food banks?

Many people go to food banks because they prioritise their wages on things other than food. There are many millions of people who don't use food banks, that are not financially secure, who have to and choose to spend their wages wisely.

What is it exactly that you don't like about food banks? That people and companies donate food? Or would you prefer the government gave it them?

Where have I said that? If this is going to be another one of your tedious debates with yourself then perhaps you could just refrain from engaging with me at all?

First of all, your inference that those using food banks need simply budget better disgusts me so I shan't even bother addressing the point. Also I've not said I don't like foodbanks. That notwithstanding, there are now more food banks than McDonalds outlets in the UK and whilst that may not bother you, it certainly bothers me.

For reference, the Trussel Trust alone gave out over 1.6 million emergency food supplies in 2018-19. Over half a million of those went to children, presumably in your eyes, because they can't budget properly.

As to what I'd like, that would be an end to austerity measures, an economic strategy that might actually stimulate the economy rather than strangling it, a fairer benefits system for those who have genuine need, a living wage and for the government to address child poverty. If that means I pay an extra couple of pence on the pound in tax, I'm fine with that.

Happy?

Nope. The quote was from Irvine welsh (the chap who wrote Trainspotting, The Acid House and Filth to name a few) and it was not directed at all Tory voters, just the working class ones or at least those who are not wealthy.

Another quote from Mr Welsh suggests, 'When you're not doing so well, vote for a better life for yourself. If you are doing quite nicely, vote for a better life for others.' There's a few on here who'd might want to consider that advice, even if it does come from a potty-mouthed Scots socialist.

How about if you're having a decentish life and now want to try and put money away for your kids, rather than have it handed out to people that you dont believe are a worthy cause?

I've got no qualms with helping people find their feet or helping people who are down on their luck but I despise having to fund people who never have and never will work because their career choice was having as many kids as they could.

I had a headache before reading the last 15 pages... now I think I've got a brain tumour!

Some people really need to take a long hard look at themselves, would you talk to people like this on the street?

People can vote for whoever they like, we take for granted the fact that we can unlike millions of people around the world that don't.

For the record I voted conservative im 27 and not particularly rich. My fiancee is 27 voted labour and is also not particularly rich and we are having a grown up discussion about it all, not one swear word or glass thrown. We are both agreed on one thing though... some posters on here are laughable.

You're perfectly entitled to and I'd expect nothing else of you to be honest. Do what you like. I couldn't care less, nor am I remotely interested in hearing your views on the hordes of freeloaders that apparently permeate our society that justify your stance. It's all white noise to me.

No, otherwise I would have, instead of saying what I said.

You said many people use food banks because they spend their money elsewhere.

I asked how you knew?

You replied it's accurate.

I asked you to provide evidence for your claim.

You said you couldn't.

So to sum up, it's not a reasonable or accurate claim to have made.

Glad we agree.

I'm a Tory I was at work must have missed it sorry

Just think what it will be like a decade from now.

You'll be at work and unable to respond, while the Red team lounge around on reduced hours using the superfast free internet to post crap on the internet.

Not sure why people get so offended by such claims and have a problem accepting reality.

I see enough parents on the school run who it appear prioritise tattoos and cigarettes over a clean school uniform for their kids.

So I doubt the posters claim is that outlandish.

If you are in the same constituency you needn’t have bothered voting because you have cancelled each others vote.
