jimbobram
I hate that question. Both absolutely unbelievable in their own right. completely different yet world class
Sith Happens
Wilson. One of the best free kicks you will see.
Ilsonram12
Different circumstances but even sky pundits were comparing it to ronaldos vs Pompey 10 years ago! So however much I loved wanchopes and being there, Wilson gets it for me
Bald Eagle's Barmy Army
Wilson, I could watch that free kick all day. Wanchopes goal was good but you can’t beat a great technique from a FK that should have been too far out to even think about it. Pure class

North East Ram
Wanchope, Goddard, Micklewhite, Sturridge, Ward, Christie, Pickering, Marriot, Wilson... we’ve done ok over the years at OT. What a great night. Love it!
AndyinLiverpool
I always liked Sturridge's tap in after Pallister and Schmeichal had made berks of themselves.

1of4
When Wilson hit the free-kick, I thought he'd skyed into our fans and was getting ready to have a moan about him wasting the free-kick but then the ball dipped under the bar. Great goal, great technique but Wanchope's goal still wins it for me.

I think I'd rather be remembered for running with the ball, beating several players on the way and then coolly finishing, than for scoring a great free-kick. Loved that goal. Was hilarious, still laugh about Johnsen getting tangled up in the net.
SSD
I'll get hammered for this. Wanchope didn't have clue what he was doing with the ball, stumbled around and like magic it went into the net. Memorable goal. Wilson's was world class. I'll remember that one more I think. Millenniumram
Gave it wanchope even tho I never saw it live, but Wilson’s was arguably the best strike I’ve seen from any derby player in my lifetime, absolutely unbelievable technique. Carl Sagan
Both moments of wonder. I went for Wanchope, partly because of the context of the top flight match and because it was his debut. And to carry the ball from your own half to score is so special. Idiakez was a freekick master but I wondered if there'd been a better freekick by a Derby player since Rioch lifted the goal off its moorings one time. Wilson, Mount or Lawrence to take them? We are spoilt.

Did he ever look like he knew what he was doing? Think that's what made him hard to defend against.
