More interested in the fans performance than the team tbh.

If we're losing with ten minutes to go i'd expect a huge rendition of "WE ARE DERBY, WE ARE DERBY, SUPER DERBY. SUPER RAMS........" from all of us....if the team are giving everything then we need to do our bit.

Sounds like Ledley may be a doubt for Saturday so..............

.................................Carson.................................

Wisdom......Keogh................Davies...........Forsyth

...................Huddlestone.........Johnson................

Russell........................Vydra.................Lawrence

...................................Winnall..............................

Reading are another play it out from the back possession team. Winnall will need to run his socks off closing down their defence. Vydra in for speed as is Russell & Lawrence.  Bring it on. (Don't think George is ready yet)

That's my team as well, this'll get us a 2nil win for sure.

Not convinced by Johnson playing deeper. He likes  tackle, sure, but I don't think he's positionally tight or disciplined enough...plus his man asset is further forward scoring goals. Got to be Thorne for me.

What front 4 do we play ?

Winnall must start and I think he 100% will alongside Martin. He'll use the excuse of Nugent coming back from illness for him on the bench and Vydra due to his last performance.

Does Winnall and Martin keep the places ?

100000%

Do we give Thorne a starting place ?

With the rumours of Ledley carrying a slight knock, I don't see why not. I don't think he will though with Johnson likely to come in instead.

Will Lawrance score ?

Certainly hope so.... UTR!!!!

Not saying that is what I would do, just what I think Rowett will do.

Morning chaps. Looking forward to a good game.

We had a very good result on Tuesday against the Florists and played extremely well and it arguably saved Stam's job, but I'd be happy with a draw tomorrow, our away form is dire (despite the Leeds result) and you're in form.

I think we'll line up: Mannone, Bacuna, McShane, Moore, Gunter, Edwards, Van Den Berg, Swift, Aluko, Barrow, Kermorgant.

I'll predict you'll win 2-1.

It’s a cliche but you are a better team than your position. Still early in the season and anyone in the league can push for top spots...... well maybe not Sunderland:ph34r:. Read some of the posts you’ll see some fans aren’t so keen playing you boys but there’s a new belief with a stable management so your prediction could see you making inroads on our prediction league...... Not sure if interlopers are allowed though. Have a safe day mate.

Would be nice to give Thorne 60-70 minutes, can't not risk him forever.

Also keep Johnson out wide as he's been doing well there. Plus him and Tommy aren't the best combo.

Do not think he will start but against Wolfsburg the other night he looked a lot fitter got around the pitch well and looked a lot sharper and confident in his movements. He is very very close to starting but whilst the team is pulling in results at the moment quite rightly unless you lose form or pick up a injury you stay in.

Something I've noticed as well, he seems to have gained an extra yard of pace since he's returned.

Agree, I just mean if Ledley doesn't make it as Rowett said he's a doubt.

Why do people think Russell should start. We have won and played our best football of the season in the Norwich game and 2 nd half v Leeds. Johnson has been MOTM in one and played extremely well in the other. I know some have suggested Lawrence drops or Johnson goes DM but why? Weimann came on and did very well v Leeds, surely he’s next cab off the rank if a change is to be made. I know Lawrence isn’t in top form yet but I would rather stick with him, if you watch any of our recent games, he attracts defenders. Whether this is a preemptive move by opposition managers, based on his reputation or his pace, I’m not sure. But either way he creates space for the others.  Forsyth was dog s**** early on but patience is paying off. We’re winning, stick with what’s working, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s going to be a long, hard season, Russell will get his chance, if he is benched, he will be hungrier when that chance comes. Just like after his last lay off ( on the naughty step) let’s not over think it.

Yes your right about Russell and BJ who has been our best player since the Forest game Lawrence you may be right but how long do we give him he's been really average so far I really fancied him to have a good game at Leeds when I saw they had a leftwinger playing full back but no he rarely beat him don't want to be to harsh because he got the pen and we've seen glimpses of what he can do

From the WhoScored preview of the match https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1192436/Preview/England-Championship-2017-2018-Derby-Reading:

  • Derby will score from a direct freekick
  • Reading will dominate possession
  • There will be a low number of cards shown
  • Derby will score from a wingplay situation
  • Gary Rowett's side showed great resiliance to come from behind to win against Leeds in midweek and have moved into the Play-Off places with a fourth consecutive league victory heading into this clash.
  • Just like up at Elland Road, Jaap Stam changed his style and reaped the rewards, with the Royals sinking Mark Warburton's Nottingham Forest in a comfortable 3-1 win. The key now is to keep that momentum going.
  • You never know what Stam will do next, but stick with the system seen against Forest and Derby could be in for a shock here.
  • Prediction:  Derby  2 - 2  Reading

Make of it what you will. Tuesday's prediction was Leeds 1 Rams 2.
