Derby County have launched a late bid for Norwich striker Cameron Jerome, according to The Telegraph.

But it is claimed the Rams will have to pay at least  £3 million to prise him away from Carrow Road.

Went to the actual source quoted in that story, the Telegraph, which adds we are trying to get rid of Shackell (no surprise) and Butterfield too.

If this was to happen then it's just more evidence that we have done an about turn with regard to not being a home to ageing players and wanting to field an energetic, fast-paced team.

Powerful and pacy. Would add a different dynamic to the team, can run the channels as well.

Wouldn't be averse to him, as he plays that battering ram type of player who would be a good impact sub, as well as a player that could start.

Question is: can we afford him, Nugent and Martin in the same squad?

If we aint prepared to spend money on quality players,lets bring in some good loans rather than throwing a few mill here and their on run of the mill players especially when 30 ish.
