Morris at the fans forum said 'within a fee week's of the playoff final, we handed out our first 20k per week contract.'

By my reckoning that would be Bryson, having just fended off the Burnley advances.

I think it's a poorly kept secret that Bryson's on 20k p/w.

We matched Burnley's wage offer.

You have a manager that wants to reduce the squad, a player that probably isn't happy with coming off the bench here and there, a manager down the road that knows him well who can offer him first team Championship football, no relocation required. Makes sense, a lot of sense.

As for not letting him go without replacing, you will never reduce the numbers if you continue to replace any outgoings or be able to bring any U23's through.

What a hole we have dug for ourselves ,Bryson is past his peak but could do with a run of games to get back to something resembling his past form . We now find ourselves in a position where the said player might go out on loan and be better than any of the players we have bought over the past few years .

How the hell have we managed to regress this far ,tragic.

True but don't think the centre midfield is an area we are that blessed with already, never mind if one of them is to depart.
