Just kidding, we'll walk the league as Nick Blackman scores 46 goals, including a double hat trick against Forest. All in prelude to him captaining England in world cup success in Russia, winning the golden boot and receiving a knighthood.

Probably.

Yes folks, it's that time of year where you need to rise and shine to make your predictions for the upcoming season that is sure to be packed with thrills and spills. Yes I know that it's only June but that's what makes predictions more fun and spooky. The players are back for the start of pre season this forthcoming week so there's no reason why you shouldn't also do your pre season training by working your fingers contributing to this forum, although it's good to see that many have kept in shape in the off season by contributing to the other threads such as the WH19 saga(Will Hughes).

It goes without saying that we hope that the flop of the season and first player to get a major injury categories don't happen, unless of course you are a lurker on this forum who supports another team. If that's the case then I hope the next time it rains, a car drives past and splashes you with water.

Right that's enough of the jibber jabbering, let's get to the predictions:

Top scorer: Chris Martin-16 goals

Player of the season: Andre Wisdom

Young player of the season: Max Lowe

Most improved player of the season: Bradley Johnson

Breakthrough player of the season: Timi Max Elsnik

Flop of the season: Scott Carson(sorry Scotty but you won the player of the season last season which means you are now cursed, just be kind and try not to make too many errors yeh)

First player to get a major injury this season(since it's tradition that we have at least major casualty a season): David Nugent-leg break in September. He's a tough cooky though so he'd be back by January at the latest.

How many managers will we have this season: 1

Where will Derby finish: 5th-losing at Wembley to Aston Villa

Other championship based predictions:

Top 6:  1. Middlesborough    2. Norwich    3. Aston Villa   4. Hull     5. Derby    6. Sheffield Wednesday

Play offs: Derby v Hull- Derby win on penalties

Aston Villa v Sheffield Wednesday- Aston Villa win

Final: Aston Villa 2 Derby 1

Relegated 3:  22. Burton  23. Millwall   24. Bolton

Dark Horses: Sheffield Utd and Brentford

Flops of the season(teams): Sunderland, Fulham and Reading

You had better hope it doesn't go down to penalties.

More harmless fun as I bump @McLovin's pre-season thread (was looking for an expectations poll but couldn't find one).

Impressively @HantsRampredicted 21 goals for Matej Vydra. @Carnerohad us finishing 6th. Thread starter McLovin has us losing the playoff final to Villa ?

I'm pretty sure the pre-season favourites were Villa and Boro so I would say it's impressive that we have made the playoffs with them.

Whilst most of my predictions were way off, I did also predict Sunderland's relegation.

Sorry - knew I'd seen one. I searched for forum topics containing "expectations" and this didn't come up. I blame whoever runs the forum...

The search is currently limited the last 6 months, helps keep the server happy, I may look to increase it with testing.

Meanwhile Google is a good way to find older topics, type site:dcfcfans.uk expectations or what you are looking for and it should come up.

I must say that I think I ought to change my  id to @soothsayerram ?

Right that's enough of the jibber jabbering, let's get to the predictions:

Top scorer: Vydra 17 goals

Player of the season: Johnson (becomes a bit of a cult hero and we understand why Norwich fans turnip love the guy)

Young player of the season: Max Lowe

Most improved player of the season: Vydra

Breakthrough player of the season: Timi Max Elsnik

Flop of the season: Wisdom as he looks disjointed at CB and Baird keeps the RB spot all season proving age is just a number.

First player to get a major injury this season(since it's tradition that we have at least major casualty a season): George Thorne

How many managers will we have this season: 1

Where will Derby finish: 6th

Other championship based predictions:

Top 6:  1. Boro   2. Wendies    3. Reading   4. Weeds     5. Norwich    6. Derby

Play offs: Derby v Reading - Spirited in each leg, Rowett's committed Derby side fall just short, being undone by a moment of magic.

Leeds v Norwich - Norwich win with a touch of class and the football world rejoices (whilst Sky sports are puzzled as to how their wall to wall welcome back to the premier league Leeds Utd could possibly have got it wrong)

Final: Reading 1 - 3 Norwich (Martin and Johnson shed a tear in the stands)

Relegated 3:  22. Sheff utd  23. Grimsby  24. Milwall

Dark Horses: Wolves and Bristol (my lovely)

Flops of the season(teams): Sunderland (beyond everyone's expectations), Sheffield utd, Hull.

this is the winner IMO
