Sparkle Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Simple question really who do people think are the best team we have faced this season in the league? I cant really pick one now on TV Huddersfield have looked very good the three times I have seen them
Ted McMinn Football Genius Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Has to be Naaarchhhh, they ripped us a new one to be fair.
RadioactiveWaste Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Nigel Pearson's Derby County. They were utterly deadly.......to themselves........
David Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 You look at both Norwich and Leeds both were all over us but that was pretty much down to us being so poor. Newcastle have took 6pts from us without looking anything special in both games, yesterday with all the ball failed to make us pay. We got a draw but I'm tempted to say Fulham.
cannable Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Fulham. Looked like us at our peak under Mac 1. Their fullbacks tore us apart and regularly found themselves on the by-line in our 18-yard box and were smashing them across goal.
r_wilcockson Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Have to say Leeds, men against boys that day.
Tony Le Mesmer Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Can only comment on the home games so I'll go for Sheff Wednesday. Didn't create a hell of a lot of clear cut chances but wonderful to watch on and off the ball and if they had more of a direct cutting edge then automatics for them. Ok we beat them but we scored our goals out of nothing at the right times in the game when they were on top to knock the stuffing out of them. I think the top half of the league is particularly strong this season.
Seth's left foot Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 From what I've seen it's got to be the Dirties, took us apart especially getting at Hanson.

Dimmu Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I prefer Ipswich. Yep, now you know how I like my women.
angieram Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Definitely Leeds. Only match this season where we never looked like getting back into it. Even Norwich, if that chance had been taken just before Butterfield's tackle, who knows? Having watched Leeds being bossed about by Huddersfield on tv yesterday it just goes to show how fine the margins are at this level. One or two key injuries, the bounce of the ball, a poor decision by the referee, being up for a local derby all influence the course of the game. It's not the exact science that some would have us believe and that's precisely why it is so exciting.
Bris Vegas Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Fulham are the best team I've seen this season. My Reading mate says the same, as have a few Burton Albion fans I believe too. While Leeds played us off the park, Wigan would have played that XI off the park too. We had a dreadful starting XI that day and it came as no surprise to see us defeated.
sage Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Fulham is the best I have seen against us. They even had their best player missing!!
Anag Ram Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I would say Leeds like many others but the frustrating thing is that we let so many teams start confidently against us with our timid approach. When we zip the ball around and take a risk we would be many teams' most feared opponents.
Papahet Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Leeds IMO. Without Pontus Jansson I thought we'd have a good opportunity to get something there. ..They didn't miss him much, we created sod all and let Pablo Hernandez run the show. I don't think even with a natural left back we'd have coped much better that night. Crowd gave them a extra gear. Wood does his norm by scoring against us
Millenniumram Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Fulham by a long stretch, granted our midfield selection that day was terrible- but we were still totally dominated throughout the match and were very lucky to get anything
Stripperg-ram Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Not that I like doing it, but to their credit, Leeds were pretty awesome against us at their place. Hanson and Camara had a mare, but they were all over us. All other performances against Norwich, Fulham etc had a bit more equality to them, but Leeds were the best I'd seen them in 10-15 years and we were as bad as, well, since Pearson was here.
Sexydadbod Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 The Newcastle team that came to pride park were very dominant and controlled the game very well. But either Leeds or Fulham imo.
RiddingsRam Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Newcastle at home, dominant , not particularly pleasing on the eye but efficient and Shelvey is easily the best midfield player in this league , makes them tick.
