Monkeytennis12345
I was working at the Mundy Arms,Mackworth, in '91 and Cloughie used to drop in for a drink ( or 7!) . Deano is telling it how it is.....what a shame
Curtains
Listened to that on Talk Sport it was hilarious and brought a smile to my face the other day Everton were in for Deano but Brian put a stop to that . Brian used similar tactics to get Roy Mac to Derby.
Zag zig
That's really funny, shows the game needs more characters
Ninos
Just saw it and had to post. Typical Clough brilliant - and shows up at his house with arm around the mother in law ! i think he did the same thing with Roy McFarland as I recall
Ninos
Greatest personality in British sports ever ... Rivals only Mohammed Ali in the USA ... And so it was brilliant when they spoke of each other "Clough I've had enough ". Makes me laugh every time
Rev
Whilst it is funny, I also found it kind of sad to hear how far down the road of alcoholism he was at that point. Sorry for being a fun sponge.

Sorry for being a fun sponge. So you have never sat with your nose an inch from the wall, crawled on your hands and knees and then gone into the garden and picked flowers when you have had a few ?? doesnt necessarily make you an alcoholic possibly just an extrovert ! LesterRam
Clough would have been the best whatever line of work he entered, he belittled the money man to achieve his goals, half cut or not he was the greatest.
gazram80
The man was a true legend. Sadly though he is gone but never forgotten. A truly unique man who,s achievements at 2 small clubs will never be matched let alone surpassed.
seths-cap
It's actually rather a sad story.
ram1964
A truly great manager for the most part espescially when paired with Taylor and a personality in football that will never be rivalled. A true legend for the Rams and football in general.

Mostyn6
can't be sad about it, he was just as bizarre when sober by all accounts. Glad I listened, cos I love Deano too.

mozza
C'mon , lighten up guys , Cloughie was a one off , with or without alcohol , he was eccentric to say the least , God just wanted to meet his main rival sooner , is all ..
dog
An ex used to go out with Nigel. Seems fairly usual behaviour for the time.

Surprising really, cos he was with his current wife Margaret from the age of 16 ish. Long before BC started drinking to excess.
