This dude with a blue tick next to his name reckons Bent is leaving today...

Charlton would be the one I'd like to see (and would do them the world of good) but it'll probably be a team more mid-table.

Moose claimed we're getting Hudderstone few weeks ago so don't listen to him.

Its pointless loaning him out to save on wages unless we are bringing someone in. Bents a pocher. He isnt playing now but he's the sort of bloke that can come on & nick a goal with ten mins to go and potentially be the difference come the end of the seaaon

He should be on the bench to be able to do that...

Surely too expensive lad to sit on the stands.

Agreed he needs to be on the bench but it could be more expensive if we get to a playoff final and need someone like a Darren Bent to slutch us a goal in the 80 something minuite

He also said we were in for Huddlestone a few weeks ago. Don't believe him.

Ah right, fair enough. In hindsight, I should have questioned the ramblings of someone who chooses to calls himself "the moose".

STRIKER Darren Bent could leave Derby County on loan but that is not likely to happen before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.

Head coach Paul Clement did not rule out the possibility when asked about Bent's absence from the match-day 18 in the last three matches.

"I don't think anything will happen today," said Clement.

"Darren has been out of the squad in the last couple of games and that is not something he is particularly happy with, understandably"

"If that continues it may be that (a loan) is something that will happen."

Clement revealed that he and the player had spoken about the situation.

"What Darren has done in his career, and the age he is at, he wants to play and contribute, and I understand that," said Clement.

"That could be here, and if it is not here it could potentially be somewhere else."

This hints at a possible move when the window for emergency loans opens in a week's time.

Bent has not featured since he hit the winning goal in the FA Cup third-round victory at Hartlepool United.

That was the 31-year-old's 200th goal of his club career.

He has made only five starts this season in his 17 appearances and scored two goals.

"We added two players in January in Abdoul Camara and Nick Blackman, and that pushed the numbers in the front positions up to seven players," said Clement.

"If we are playing with three forwards, which we have done in the majority of games, that means four cannot start.

"If two of those four are probably going to make the bench, it means two are not.

"In the last couple of games that has been Darren and Andreas (Weimann). That is not to say that will always be the case."
