George Thorne

To all the doom-mongerers above...

George Thorne and his agent did not engineer a move to Derby because we are much bigger than WBA or because we offered him the chance to play at a higher level.

He came here because he felt wanted, needed and loved.  In my head he is one of the least likely to have his head turned by a premier league team flashing a bit of flesh.  Yes he may, at some point in the future, play in the highest echelons of the game but that time is not in (or after) a first full season of competitive football.

Even after our 20m splurge, he is still wanted needed and loved here.  George's story with DCFC is nowhere near it's conclusion.

Having said that there is always a chance of the love evaporating, and him moving, if PC makes him captain before the summer

why wouldn't he go if he had the chance..? They are a much bigger club than us, he would probably double his salary and be guaranteed to play in the Premiershite next season and for the rest of his career if he performs of course. The only down side I could see for Thorne would be the fact that Everton is still in Liverpool....
