Villa are one of only 7 teams I think who have been in Premier League since day one so will be good to see then relegated. "

Only 6 now -

Man Utd
Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
Everton
Aston Villa

Southampton the last team to leave that list I believe.

When did Tottenham get relegated?

They should all have a taste of relegation, prove to their plastic fans that there's more to football than the Premier Circus.

Let's start with Chelsea.

Until a team comes along with a squad a unbeliveablely toss as this one, our record will never be broken.  Between King Bill-eh and o Paul this has to be the poorest collection of players ever assembled for top flight football -

how many went on to better things?

Mears and Dave Jones?

Maybe Kenny Miller if north of the border means anything?

Feilhaber was an MLS All-Star in 2015, so he's doing well. The MLS still isn't of great quality, but it's better than people think, and that's a decent achievement.

I forgot how poor that squad was. Looking at this i don't know why i went into that season full of expectation.

You must be about 12 then, because we had a criminal board of directors (Fat Jezza, Andrew 'no nickname' McKenzie and Mucky Murdo)

Out of interest what date was that squad list cut at?

Matt Oakley scored our first goal that season against pompey and Steve Howard played a few days later against man citeh.

And didn't stubbs get crocked before the season started?

And where's Andy Griffin?

Minor gripes only. Doesn't detract from the sheer head in hands nature of that mob of players. ???

And don't forget maxwell stealing millions from his own employees pensions. As for villa, they got a point at newcastle just before Xmas just like we did in 2007. But we started badly then fell away..l can't see villa being worse than us in that year.

I think it's the end of season squad. Oakley, Howard and a few were sold in January. I believe Stubbs got injured in the build up to the following season

4 of our 11 points were against Newcastle.

Another proud record the Rams hold is worst defeat (6-0 I reckon) in an FA Cup Final although I sit to be corrected on that.

We are also the only team to win the League And Central League Championship in a single season so it's not all bad.

And yes, there was football (or, in America, soccer) prior to the stupid change of name to the Premiership with only 20 teams in it, most of whom now play boring survival football!

Surely this is the end of season squad. its definately after the transfer window.

As you said no Oakley, Howard or Griffin, but people like Villa, Savage, Ghally and Alan Stubbs are in there.
