Carl Sagan
It begins again. The hack who tries hardest ... the scribe with the scoops ... or the journo who's a joker? First rumour as we countdown to the new window is that there *may* be a name in the paper later today (The super soaraway Sun) about a left back who we want to loan with a view to a permanent signing. When asked if he rates him, Nixon says he's "OK". With that ringing endorsement, should we really be looking to bring someone in when: Warnock Baird Lowe Pearce can all play the position? Charlie George
Simple answer - yes. If there's someone better out there get him. Not convinced on Warnock or Baird and Pearce is a centre half. Lowe although one for the future, , currently injured.
RamLad1884
Yes, he's said a loan to buy. Warnock is getting to his later years so I wouldnt be surprised to see him released/retire come end of season. The rest of them are completely unproven at left back (so far). Lower prem/top end of champ Left back and I'd be happy

Him rating a player as "OK" is the opinion of somebody with no experience actually in the game. I'm sure he would have said Gareth Bale was "OK" when Tottenham were looking to sign him. WamRam
Patrick Roberts from Man City for me. Signed from Fulham in the summer, barely getting a look in there, loan till the end of the season would be ideal.
Day
Would Warnock last the full season if not will Lowe make the step up? That's the question. The answer is nobody knows. In a season where you want promotion, can you take the chance on a 34 year defender or a youngster making the step up? For me no. Sign him up......whoever he is. The Scarlet Pimpernel
PGA Pro mentioned the current young Leeds left back.......forgotten his name..........Could it be him? Quite highly rated it seems. Very attacking!

Voted their Player of the season last season so he must be decent. Having said that, so was Lee Croft before we signed him. Can also play as a left winger. Very happy with this. Would still prefer better cover at left back and if Olson can play left wing too then he would give us options all round. Doesn't look like we will get him tho as clem says we don't need a loan signing.

ColchesterRam
Or Lewis Grabban, Norwich mentioned and he wasn't in the squad for today's game.
North_Stand_Ram
Hope it's a striker in a bit of form who ISNT a reserve for a Prem team. I want someone already in the goals.
MackworthRamIsGod
I think there is more chance of seeing Steve Davies in a Rams shirt again than there is of Lewis Grabban playing for Derby at the moment.
