John Brayford

If we do sell I hope they announce the fee. He is the best right back outside the Premier League.

I bet fans of about 10 other clubs in the NPC have said the same about their RB

I hope we sell more for $1.3mill.. As you say, he's good at this level and perhaps has a future in the PL.. Reminds me of Nicky Shorey, but on the opposite side..

Taken from Cardiff Forum:-

Derby have conceded to losing player after his agent confirmed he wont be extending his contract, agent has verbally agreed terms with Ian Moody (CCFC)http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/images/smilies/ayatollahhttp://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/images/smilies/ayatollahhttp://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/images/smilies/ayatollah

Hope not correct

So Cardiff have been tapping him up?

If [url=https://twitter.com/search?q=%23ccfc&src=hash]#ccfc fans have never heard of Derby county full back John Brayford they may well do very soon [url=https://twitter.com/search?q=%23scoop&src=hash]#scoop"

The Cardiff City fans say he's normally 100% right with info involving them..

He is very much the best right back outside the PL. he also loves to attack as well. Very hard for us to replace and the fee has to be way above the pathetic £750k that has been quoted

I guess he thinks that Bray is going to score against them in March 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

I dunno, I haven't seen all the RBs in the Championship, and only seen most of them play once or twice, against us, at home.

Think he is worth at least £1m though.

Would be bitterly dissapointed to see him leave - for any price. I really enjoy watching him play, and proud he's ours.

I agree but Cardiff are looking nailed on for promotion this year and perhaps John prefers not to wait for us. If it's right he will not extend his contract then his head is turned and he needs to go.

I see that but here he has something pretty special. If we make it to the Prem and he's been here for the journey then that will feel like a brilliant achievment when he hangs up his boots, and he'd be remember in the City for a very long time and get clapped every time he came back to Pride Park as an old man if he became a Mr Derby County-type figure. And he can be, because he's very much a Cloughie player, and Cloughie's isn't going anywhere.

Unfortunately, modern footballers don't think like that, and the most pragmatic thing would probably be to sell him and buy a replacement.

He's a good player, don't get me wrong, but as someone has already said, a good right back doesn't get you promotion. I'd be more than happy with Freeman as a replacement (as long as it's not O'Connor) and as long as we get a good fee, I won't be distraught if he left.

We sell Brayford for less tham £2m I'll be ******* horrified - especially after the Sam Rush "we won't be a soft touch" thing. I'd be down to PPS with a shouty head on and a bad attitude.

Don't think we will though. Other thing is, Freeman is a good lad, promising, had a good game vs Boro...but he's not as good as some seem to think yet, and no way he could replace John Brayford.
