I won't attempt to speak on behalf of Derby fans, only myself and politely request to be excluded from this apology.
Boro and Wycombe are owed nothing, no apology and not a penny.

So I’ve actually had a day where my jam packed diary has meant I’ve had no choice but to actually work so not been checking and now about caught up with all the non stories.
We have a factual joint statement from Derby/EFL confirming they’ve kicked the can down the road for another month. That’s exactly what I was expecting tbh.
We have Percy saying HMRC and stadium are issues and Appleby is frustrated and threatening to pull out. Leaked from Trevor Birch no doubt.
We have Nixon saying similar but Appleby doesn’t have the money lined up and Ashley is frustrated, but doing what he always does low balling and waiting for the other bids to fail. Leaked from Trevor Birch no doubt but with his own spin on it.
However for me the most interesting piece of the day was the interview with Garry Cook. While he said something we all know and suspect, it’s interesting someone who was so actively involved in the acquisition is basically saying the problem is neither Mel, Gibson, or the EFL will back down from their high horse and until one of them does nothing will happen and Derby are at serious risk. ??‍♂️
Hope the MPs can sort them out I really do!
But at least Rooney isn’t in the final 3 Everton candidates ?

I now force myself to take a break from screen refreshing or bouncing between this forum, Twitter or NewsNow. I mostly work from home so try and do a walk round the block at lunch rather than look for updates.  I also make a point, on Twitter, of not delving into the comments on threads now to remove the risk of getting massively wound up by complete neanderthals stating how we deserve it, we've cheated etc etc.  That's one stress I can control and have removed.
I may live some 85 miles from PP but reading through these threads I do often feel I'm there with all you locals.  Keep the faith - I honestly do believe we'll come through this.

I liked Rooney's way of dealing with this constant upheaval - take one day at a time & let the future take care of itself, its often not as bad as your worst case scenario head would have you believe. And as Kazim says 'Tough times don't last, tough people do'
This forum, matches at PP (and away) & involvement in supporters groups (BAWT, RT, Punjabi Rams) are all good ways of sharing worries with like minded fans, being active in ways we can get our voice heard & reminding us its football we're talking about ultimately, not politics or finances or bureaucracy. I'll also be indulging in some escapism in the 71/72 season - we've got a title to win ?
I also think its important to take time away from Derby matters from time to time. Probably won't be appreciated by David but refreshing every hour for news on here and Twitter is just going to drive folk round the bend - take a couple of days break every so often, do some exercise/new activities, take in some new scenery & spend quality time with friends and family.
We will get through this - we will come through the other side & be the club we all know we can be.
Stay well all you Rams ??

Turn to the one man that has kept us, the players and the whole club going throughout this sorry affair. Our Wazza. I think if his enthusiasm ever starts to Wayne (pun intended) then we're in big trouble. I have to admit it was very worrying when B4 had a wobble a few days back but thankfully he's back on track now.

Well, we have another month of uncertainty and speculation ahead of us.
I don't mind admitting this morning's lack of news has hit me hard.
We need to try and look after ourselves - and each other - over  these next few weeks.
I feel better when I am watching games. Luckily, there are plenty of Derby games during February to keep us going.
What will you do to try and keep positive?

Even if we started in League Two as a "new" entity but were still called Derby County Football Club, we'd never hear the end of it. Just ask Rangers.
And there'd be a part of you too that would feel something went missing. If we were relegated on the pitch, that's a continuation. If we're talking about a whole new squad, a whole new manager, a whole new owner, a whole new home venue (at least in the short term), a whole new training ground, a whole new league with entirely different circumstances, you've lost the threads of continuation.
I know we're delving into philosophy here but it's similar to the Ship of Theseus, or for a more pop culture reference, Trigger's Broom.
If we can't feasibly tie any new parts of the club together to the old, it's not what it used to be. Incremental change means we can honestly say our club is a continuation of that which was a founder member of the league. A continuation of '46, '72 and '75 amongst other glories.
A badge and a name is not enough to still be the same DCFC I'm afraid. We have to survive, otherwise we cannot honestly believe in ourselves that we have a continuous history from 1884 to 2022.

Isn't it great how the conversation has changed over the last 72 hours? Thanks to the valiant call-to-arms of some heroic Rams fans the noise generated has been spectacular.
MPs, media doyennes, City of Derby leaders and 40,000 fans have put their shoulders to the wheel and turned the discussion on its head.
Now it's not (all) about how naughty Derby County are; it's about shining a spotlight on what is fair and appropriate.
    Well done to all involved.

As I posted a while back, We've been stitched up, 1. Because we were making one hell of a fight in this division, 2. The EFL saw our fight and started to get a little concerned that we could possibly beat the drop, 3. Other clubs complaining we are turning silly offers down for our players while in Administration, 4. Culminating in the loss of Jagielka, 5. The EFL see Boro and Wycombe as having a case against us, But will not let it go to arbitration(against their own rules), 6. The EFL are making it as humanly tough as possible that we can not get in a PB, That we can not sign any players, That players we have now may decide to leave, 7. Monies that was due to come in from the PB will now not be commited as the EFL see those 2 clubs as "creditors", 8. They will only be satisfied when we are finally relegated, 9. The EFL believe they are the law of the land, I do not know the finer details of the acctual Law, I would hope Quantuma do.

What the EFL are doing is within their own rules. Their rules state something along the lines that where two member Clubs are in dispute the arbitration and decision of award falls within the jurisdiction of a LAP.
I am no Lawyer, but there must be very strong legal argument that statute (Law of the Land) top trumps EFL rules, and no doubt Quantuma will be taking legal counsel to see if they can injunct the EFL who are (probably) preventing legal process under the Insolvency Act 1986. I would think a Court of Law would agree that it is not possible for the EFL to stymie a defined and documented statutory process because of league rules. Especially with £60m of confirmed creditors waiting for some payment because a curly haired w@nkstain in Middlesboro has a bit of a beef with our former owner.
The problem I think for Quantuma is costs; we haven’t got a pot to piss in. What we need now are a few wealthy supporters to gift ringfenced monies to DCFC to fight a legal action. It isn’t probably going to help us this transfer window, and we can probably discount being in the Championship next season, but injuncting the EFL to desist invoking petty rules should mean that the process of sale can continue, the Club survives, and existing creditors can recover some of the monies owed to them. Additionally, which will be a significant bonus, the process might see the EFL, and current Football Regulation generally, swept away and put in the hands of an independent regulator fit to oversee our once beautiful game.

Disagree, if we sue anyone, should be the EFL.
They are preventing a sale despite what their statement says.
As a result we have lost Jagielka, unable to strengthen the team to fight relegation.
They have rewritten their rules, appealed independent tribunals, lied to fans, potentially costing jobs, denying creditors their money and all to effectively destroy the club, which they are currently succeeding with.
Let's not stoop to the levels of Boro and Wycombe by bringing Villa and QPR into this.
As a senior exec said at an EFL meeting in 2019.
“Taking potshots at clubs’ accounts when on-field results go badly, if encouraged, will lead to a free-for-all which will bring the league into disrepute.
“We all realised after discussion that we need to leave non-sporting matters to the EFL. It is right to let the authorities do their job and not have interference from people with ulterior motives.”
    Source: https://talksport.com/football/efl/533026/middlesbrough-owner-steve-gibson-fails-bid-independent-review-championship-clubs-finances/
The league is now in disrepute, the simple and undeniable fact is, the EFL are responsible for that and certain positions should now be considered untenable.

The usual Geordie mouthpieces giving it large on the comments section from The Times article regards Ashley’s bid.
    Here’s my favourite reply.
We don't own our ground, have debts totalling £60m, owe HMRC £26m, haven't seen the PL since 2008 and have a squad made up of pensioners and children. Along the way we sacked our captain for his involvement in a drink driving debarcle, we had very public spats with the EFL, we are being sued by fellow EFL members, and this year marks 14 since we were the worst team in PL history.
We know what bad ownership looks like.
NUFC fans don't know they're born.
