alram reacted to jimtastic56 in Will Derby County get back in Premiership
The Prem is awash with £Billions , they are about to agree a handout to the EFL paupers which will “Give” us around an extra £500k a season. However they will impose stricter rules on us , as to what we can spend . Talk about keeping the rest of us down.

He was CEO at the club during its most mismanaged period in its history. I don’t care if he did Mel’s donkey work he still did it which resulted in huge penalties.

Having watched it all carefully I'm still not happy with Warnes flippant attitude towards the academy

no
we are in the same division as them and are competing with them,
this whole club size argument is just ridiclous it doesnt matter how big a club is if they act like a league one club like we are we will be a league one club, the longer we act like this and forest act like a premier league club the bigger the gap will get until there isnt even a rivalvary any more

i think people go over the top with passing = bad, long ball = bad
i think good and bad football depends on the intensity, high intensity football is good to watch whether you hoof it or pass it short. low intesity football is bad to watch whether you hoof it or pass it short
the liverpool man city rivalary over the last few years was so good to watch because both have different styles but both have incredible intensity to there game

tiki-taka style basically died because they couldnt beat low block sides and everyone just played that way against it
even guardiola who mastered it and influenced everyone across the world ditched it (why hes such a good coach)

we laugh at the European comments but my worry is there owner is the one that has the ambition and he normally gets what he wants in the end I don’t think he has intentions of having them near the drop, we really needed them to go down last year for them to be in trouble, it’s gonna be a long few years I feel

We regressed in the simple fact that we started winning less games. That doesn't happen without a reason. To put it down to bad luck is just a cop out to me.
You can't just say "he would have signed another player", like McGoldrick was any old player. He was a one-off. Don't pretend any other player could have done what he did easily.
I'm on about the calibre of player. Hourihane, McGoldrick, NML, all have Prem experience. The majority of our transfers this season are from L1 or lower Champ teams they couldn't get into. Warne obviously doesn't have as good connections as Rooney or Rosenior, and I'll bet a lot of players didn't want to sign for us based on the style of play as well. Ok, yes, lets wait and see how Warne's signings get on, but there must be a reason these players were allowed to leave these lower Champ/L1 clubs.
You're not considering how long it would take to reverse what Warne is doing to the squad if we did change him in the summer. If he's staying 100+ games, this brutish style will be so engrained, it may take another season or two to change again. Will you be on here again saying we need to give that new manager 2 more transfer windows as well? how long will it go on?
We might not get another chance like this season. The teams are comparatively weak compared to recent L1 seasons, especially with Wigan and Reading getting points deductions.
Of course this season could be a right-off. Ipswich and Plymouth got 98 and 101 points. Ipswich only lost 4 games all season.
We've already lost 3. We shouldn't be settling for the play-offs

I voted no because it’s the worst football I’ve seen us play since Rowett was here. And even then, though I hated it at least his team was organised and in the main, effective.
In all honesty I loath Warneball so much that if he is still here next season I am not going to renew my ST. I am not travelling 230 miles every other Saturday with all the costs that that entails to watch that kind of football.

alram reacted to Bris Vegas in Who enjoys Warne's football poll?
I got more enjoyment from Rosenior’s nine games in charge with mixed results than the subsequent 10 months of Warneball combined.

If we were grinding out 1-0 wins and it was ugly, I wouldn't give a s*** as it would achieve an end game result. I'd rather play swashbuckling foot ball and win but I'd accept it. However, the football is s**** and the win rate is mediocre. As such, I'd rather see some entertainment outside a 20 min period in Peterborough where a space time continuum shifted.

alram reacted to trappatoni in Is expectation too high .
It's a useful stat. If your xG exceeds the opponent's on a regular basis then you should be winning more than you lose and if you don't your finishing is poor. Unlike Curtains I'd say if you have the higher xG then finishing and GKing being equal you should be winning the game - obviously finishing and GKing isn't fixed - Kane can miss sitters and I've scored a few worldies.
I believe (feel free to correct me) it is only measured for shots on goal though (on or off target) so if you are 6 yards out and square it that wouldn't produce any xG.

And he wanted to keep what he was doing a secret until he was out the door
it should be an instant points deduction for clubs not keeping up to date accounts

I think we can, because of his actions, we wouldn't be putting out an average League One team. So yes he is to blame

Let’s hope so but if we both stay in our current divisions for a long time we will not be similar sized clubs anymore
are West Ham and Millwall similar sized clubs anymore? Birmingham and Villa? Newcastle and Sunderland?
we are just hoping for the best here by saying it’s cyclical

i dont have issue with this comment i agree, but our vision was better under LR and it gave you something to look towards.
my issue at the moment is we could all see this coming based on what we have been doing ever since warne arrived
