How I miss him!

Well I do think that Derby could well be challenging this season and I think this underdog working well for us now if we can keep winning homes games were we can and at least get a point away or 3 when we can but football a lot better now.

Take that. Hard game against a team of leviathans not really too interested in playing football (barring 10-15 mins in second half). Boro a horrible horrible side - but effective, so some will like the style. Ref a tool who missed so much. More composure in front of goal and we win that game. Played some decent stuff, created some decent chances. I’m not going home too disappointed (although not going anywhere at the moment as stuck in the car park ?)

Just a word on Max Bird. Last season I thought his game moving forward was good but how he managed his positioning off the ball and how he tracked players running off him needed work. He has improved this massively and has been IMO our best player this season so far. 

Controlled the first half with the game going more into Boro's the second. Was very physical as Rooney expected and a draw against a fairly good Boro side isn't to be sniffed at. 
Sibley struggled a little today. Talent is there but they nullified his driving runs well. He did draw the best save of the match though and he will be in the goals this year if Rooney keeps playing him. Bird was quality again, recycling the ball and linking well between defense and attack. He's going to be an asset. 
That was Shinnies type of game. Physical. Lots of tackling. Lots of tracking back. Played well.
Morrison a class above at this level. Vision, touch, tackling, passing, positioning. All fantastic. Makes it all look so easy. Keep it up!! 
Obviously Jags and Davies played well, and Roos marshalled it well behind them with some big saves, good footwork and decent punches. Seems to be more confident this year than last.
Joz's ball carrying ability is some of the best in this league. Just needs that finishing touch in front of goal. Confidence to strike it and we've got a huge threat.
Not a classic match but I'll take a draw, plus forest lost so what's not to like.

Credit to the boys and the gaffer again today. Not the result we wanted but we fought for everything and with an ounce of luck might have nicked all 3 points.
Jags and Curtis strong again today, Shinnie finding some form too. Morrison fouled every 5 seconds but remained calm. More positive than not.

With Davies and Jags at the back we aren't going to concede many goals this season to teams who don't run in behind. They win almost everything in the air and physically they don't come much tougher than Ikpeazu.
If they stay fit we'll stay up this season.
 
 

If you’d told me this time last week we’d collect 4 points and have 2 clean sheets from the next two matches then I’d have snatched your hand off.
Although I think the point is a good point, I think it might be a couple of points dropped really. They were there for the taking in the first half and rarely put Roos under pressure all game.
I hope Baldock is ok, another striker injury is the latest thing we need right now, but Stretton looked bright when he came on.
Still a good result to build on and the defence looks assured and sturdy.

Ref has to grow up. This is just a disgrace right now.

I thought that this game would be a tough one, but it doesn't help when the ref is the 12th man for the opposition!

Shinnie great first half 

Great to be back in the ground as I was on holiday the other week. I am pleasantly surprised so far. Sibley hasn’t done enough in my opinion. If he could create something we would be bossing this game. The rest are doing well. Baldock can produce a shot when on goal which is encouraging. Come on you Rams!!!

duck Boro, duck Gibson, and duck the EFL, haven't got a melody yet

Apart from the diving and the dozy ref I’m enjoying this. We are playing football. 5% up on the tempo and we’ll unlock the door. Shinnie doing lots of tidying up. Morrison so mobile and finding space. Don’t feel half as worried at set pieces with J C in the middle.
