When it’s not your day, it’s just not your day.
These things happen, it all comes down to how we react to this off day.

Despite being on the losing side, I thought we played brilliantly at the Valley. Especially the first half of that game. We looked a class above.

Thinking back to that game and the early part of the season. Rightly or wrongly, I have always considered that James Collins inability to put the ball in the net highly contributed to Liam Rosenior losing his position. My memory might be cloudy but I seem to recall he missed a glutton of opportunities, taking a while to get off the mark.

Charlton have sold about 1,300 so should be a decent attendance.

In the end, B4 their “gamesmanship” didn’t cost us the game, we list it all by ourselves. Paul got his team selection snd tactics wrong by trying to out-Wycombe them. Even if we had enough players to rough-house and cheat like them we would still suffer because unlike all the rough-house teams we would get a monster amount if yellow cards for it. And then he didn’t change it up anywhere near soon enough.
We should have used Brian Clough’s approach - play our game and let them worry about us.
In the end the ref was awful, but Wycombe didn’t win the match - we lost it.

Anyways, I'd like to welcome those that are travelling down to Adams Park today. If you are driving (& not using a Sat Nav) come off at Junction 5 of the M40 so you are on the right side of the town.
Also, if you are parking close to the ground, most of the private/charity parking will be on industrial units and they try to get as many cars in as possible. This will mean if you are on the beginning of a row, you might not move for a long time after the final whistle! If you are getting the train, there are buses (for home and away) or its around £15 taxi one way. If you are planning on walking, it'll take you about an hour to get to the ground!
There will be a beer tent inside the grounds of Adams Park, however the food options inside the stadium are poor, get food before coming in if you can! (Its the same for home fans and something we are always complaining about!)
If you want any other info before you arrive, more than happy to help where I can.
    Safe journey all

Wednesday fan in peace. Tough times for us both, 2 great clubs who’s fans deserve better than what we are getting at the minute. Hope you guys join us in the top 2 come end of the season. On current form, there’s no doubt about it. Have great memories of the baseball ground. That epic 3-3 fa cup game in 1993 is the best away game I’ve been to. Up the owls & rams ?

Forsyth and Cashin have to be first choice CB pairing at the moment. I love Davies, but he isn't up to the pace at the moment. He struggled last night and he should be used sparingly to protect narrow leads in tight games.
If you want to move Sibley into midfield (if he's available for selection after injury) then Roberts stays at LB. He's done well there and was one of our brighter sparks last night.

If you play a pressing game, and the other team is good enough to play through you, sometimes you are going to come unstuck. If you get players forward and the other team is fast and fit and organised enough to put pressure of your midfield and defense and steal the ball, you are going to come unstuck.
Honestly all tonight says to me is that at a lot of our players aren't cut out for the higher leagues, which we knew anyway. I don't mind that Warne didn't put everyone behind the ball. It was a cup game, a free hit, and he (and the players) will have learned something useful.

Apart from the goal it’s mostly been Derby. There’s absolutely no reason to believe that we can come out in the second half and take this to them. Come on you Rams!

Few weeks back Derby were like mid-league and we ourselves at the top, and now look at it.   I mean seriously, what the hell.
If you beat Port Vales tomorrow and we lose to Morecambe then the distance will be reduced to just one point, unbelievable just a month or two back.   Yeah, I'm worried.  It's got to be said.    You got a game in hand over us also.
I take the opportunity to congratulate Rams on moving up from mid-league to the verge of an automatic promotion opportunity, there's no malice or ill-feeling or why should there be, but a lot of our fans are getting mighty antsy about the time ahead having lost a number of valuable points in recent games.
I think teams like us, you look at the top two automatic promotion places and question can we really make it, you know, invade that territory and stick with it.    In truth I answer for my own team No, not sure how you feel about your own club endeavors for the months ahead, but you got to realize, it's a tough ask for sure.
Probably said before teams like us, of previous stature and accomplishment, don't really belong in this league.   You know what the worse thing is, being at the very top for certain stages sure that you're going to do it, only to see your team fall away and people are asking questions is the play-offs the best thing to accept even at this stage of this season.
It's going to be an interesting round of games tomorrow for sure.     Mentioned on a Town forum to our own fanbase (that) only the strong and whoever holds their nerve most  (from Plymouth to all top six club names) can, or will, only succeed in terms of a promotion.

I honestly think that a lot of the pull for recruiting the players we have was Rosenior's (and even possibly a bit of Rooney's.)
I don't think Warne had quite the same contacts as them.
However, he will be rapidly gaining reputation with some bigger names now. That's going to put him - and us -  in a good place for the summer.
