My proposition is only between English clubs. Transactions between English and Foreign clubs would be applied to different rules. 
The transfer window has stagnated due to financial restrictions, but I feel people are missing the point that restrictions on transfer fees actually impact the selling clubs arguably more than the buying clubs as it means there are less clubs buying players and many have to sell to buy. It also means that buying clubs actually have leverage to say ‘we can’t pay x amount because of P&S’ so there is a barrier in place to not get optimal market value. 

Vickers sounds like he’s off too. The same ITKers who leaked the retained list also mentioned that was the case and having looked on the Rotherham forum, someone on their mentioned a keeper coming in ‘who was well known to the fans’. 

Wildsmith has been a great servant for Derby and I wish him well if we move on. I always felt that Warne was never completely sold and thought at this point where he wants to be paid as a Championship number one goalkeeper that it may play out in this fashion. 
The rest I’m really happy about as it means that we are going to strengthen across the board. There is merit in keeping Smith, Collins, etc but they aren’t impactful players at the next level and it takes up a squad place. Collins is on good money too, as I assume Smith may as well be too. It does allow us to shape the squad more so in Warne’s vision.

I’m sure the Clowes will not be concerned with outlay for players if he truly believes he has the recruitment personnel and coaching personnel because you can sell players at a profit. I don’t doubt for a minute that the days of us spending good money on older, experienced players for the job of getting promotion rather than creating a resale market for ourselves has gone.
Find talented players, develop them and sell them on for higher fees. We have done very well at academy level in achieving just that, but appalling when it comes to recruiting/selling at first team level.

As much as it pains me to see Leeds have any type of enjoyment, we could really do with losing one of Southampton or them. Norwich will be now going into their last season of parachute payments. West Brom coming out of them completely. Sheff Utd and Luton aren’t going to be throwing theirs around. Burnley, no doubt will, but if it keeps a top two: Burnley and Southampton/Leeds in terms of spending the landscape of the league should be a lot more competitive.

If I’m Clowes then I would seriously look at doing a double deal with Palace for Rak-Saki and Ebiowei. 
When you consider what players are usually highly values from Championship clubs they’re typically young players signed from Premier League clubs who had too many bodies in their way to properly progress. We saw first hand the potential/ability in Ebiowei and Rak-Saki did really well in League One. Obviously their values at Palace could be daft, we don’t know, but they’re the type that I would hope we view as ‘asset building’ signings. 
Marc Leonard & Andrew Moran are two from Brighton in a similar boat, both had loan spells out this season (and last). None of us know the level of spending, but these are the types of players that have shown potential but aren’t quite at the standard required at their current teams yet. There are plenty in League One who tick that box, although the recruitment staff need to pick the right ones. Even Forest have Aguilera who showed a high ceiling but poor consistency while at Bristol. These are the types that we need to work with and get a tune out of, IMO. Harvey Vale is another.

The problem with the free agent market is that almost every team in the Championship is in the same market as transfer fees have curtailed. 
The wages being paid out are going to substantial and if you’re hitting free agency this summer and have relative experience within the Championship, like a Alan Brown or Paddy McNair then you’re going to be extremely well compensated for your services because you’ll have 14/15 clubs all in the same boat vying for your services. It’s going to be a painfully competitive, compacted market and we need to be much smarter to get ahead. 

I think Barnsley would be a good move for him: a club he knows well, where he’s well liked and a clear route into coaching. He could still play a role in League One, maybe in a more passive, Liam Rosenior-esque type side, but he can’t be the main man anymore. I don’t think it’s a case of his professionalism or fitness, but at his absolute peak he was a midfielder who got stuck in at every level. He tries to play the same way, but his body can’t do it. 
Even if he does have another year here, he won’t be anywhere near the first team. I think this makes sense. 

Mel Morris threw in the towel far too early and in a string of monumental bad business decisions - that was by far his worse.
He would’ve won the appeal against the amortisation charges, as there was nothing within the rules about the straight line concept and what he adopted was a tried and tested accounting method albeit not done in football (to that point). We wouldn’t have had the 21 point deduction and would’ve stayed up that season. 
The academy infrastructure he put in place would’ve eventually paid him back more than he ever got and then some. We ended up losing an incredible amount of talent for pennies in the pound because of his decision to throw the towel. He just needed to bring someone in who could control the football operation - Cocu was ideal for bringing on players technically and the developmental angle should’ve been persisted with but like his decision to call in the administrators. I think that was also a very bad, early decision. 
He then fell in love with the Hollywood aspect of bringing big names into the club and the circus that would follow. Lampard was a good hire for the club, but ultimately it changed the mindset and from that point he was on a path to ruin. While he was fundamentally bringing things along nicely in the background, he was his own worse enemy. If he had just focused more so on what was working in the academy and replicated it into the first team then he would’ve realised his vision of having a first team heavily subsidised by the academy and in doing so would’ve been able to bring more talent to the academy to continue the flow of progression as opportunity attracts talent.
