I always thought Ivan Toney was quick, but he's just lost a foot race to Harlee Dean. Brentford have set up to play on the counter attack here, very bizarre. Birmingham 1-0 up.
I searched Ivan Toney and slow on Twitter:

I wonder what the record is for a relegated team in terms of points (in this league before anyone starts)?

Wycombe lost, but the most startling thing for me is the fact they had their RB play a full 90 minute and achieve a 10% pass success.

This is also a terrible endorsement of Championship football. Jesus.
Wycombe's 36 year old defensive midfielder currently has a pass accuracy of 14.3%!!

I'm a huge Martin fan. HUGE.
I can't say I'm sad to see him go, though. We know he was on a big old wage here and a significant amount of that contract was paid during a period where he wasn't in the team or out on loan. It was a bad contract and I'm glad we didn't extend it. I obviously have no idea what he's on now, but I'd imagine that Bristol have extended the contract to lower the wage. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still on good money.
The problem with Martin is that he's the most one dimensional footballer I have ever seen at Derby. He's technically an outstanding footballer, he's got a high footballing IQ but you literally have to build the attack around him otherwise you get diddly squat out of him.
When you look at his loan spells: 10 in 30 for Fulham, 1 in 10 for Reading and 2 in 30 for Hull. None of them were sad to see the back of him. When the attack wasn't built around him here, he didn't have the best of time. Cocu, like McClaren, managed to get something out of him by making him the focal point. If Bristol don't do that, or decide that he's more influential off the bench, he's going to struggle to get to five goals next season.
We need a more progressive approach. Martin is a player that I'll always hold in high esteem but I'm not sad to see him go.

I just wanted to play around with the numbers a little bit:
As we know, the Football League consists of 72 teams in three divisions. The Carabao Cup consists of all 92 league clubs over seven rounds. In essence, they pay £119m for the rights to 3,312 live league games and 85 cup games.
We know the Netflix format has been discussed with regards to the Premier League, but would it end up revolutionising the Football League.
It would take just under 1,000,000 subscribers at £120-a-year (£10-a-month) to recoup the Sky Sports fee. It's just under 14,000 per EFL club. The club could also get their own advertising fees, etc. I would guess that the demand would depend on who would be in the Championship. I would feel confident that more than 15% of the required subscribers would come from the best 5 supported teams in the EFL, so this year: Derby, Forest, Wednesday, Sunderland and Norwich. If the product was good enough then general football fans would no doubt be interested, especially if the price isn't bad. The top clubs in the Championship generally pull over 300,000 viewers on Sky.
The opportunity to have access to every single game, like NFL Gamepass, would obviously have a huge pull. This could also be run in conjunction with Sky, whereby the Sky games selected are blacked out on this Netflix format. You would then, potentially, be able to get a similar deal with Sky and offer this service on top.
The deal we've got with Sky is extremely poor, not necessarily the fee they pay, but the terms of the deal are so restrictive. Sky REALLY don't need to have the rights to every game and then decide not to show 90% of them. The cash boost to League One and Two sides, if they were able to offer this package, would be huge. It would really offer a breath of fresh air into the lower leagues.
The only issue could be that some fans would stop going to the games, although I personally feel that people don't go to games because they can't see it on the TV. It's a lot more than that.

I'd love to know what he's earning. I can't see Newcastle fans putting up with his Houdini impression for too long.
Last season, he played 24 times for Burnley. He had two goals and two assists to his name. He averaged less than 25 passes a game. He barely made a tackle or had an interception and still made more of them than he did create chances.
A perfect example of a midfield passenger.

It's really outstanding work to have such a minimal impact on a game and still play at the highest level. I guess you could call me old fashioned, but I like it when my midfielders do something - anything.
