Ravabeerbelly reacted to Leeds Ram in Ebosele - starting XI when fit?
Not sure about the positioning claim tbh. Against both reading and peterborough he was constantly out of position, it was especially bad against peterborough when in the first half he did leave Byrne high and dry positionally that led to their best openings coming down that flank.
He's an odd player as defensively I don't love the look of him but going forward apart from the pace he doesn't have much in his locker either. His control and vision in the pass don't seem to be particularly great and against Peterborough we saw his predictability ensure a lack of effectiveness. I'd give him the odd 20 minutes but atm I'd say it's too soon for him to be playing a major role.

Kornell is a good young player. But I believe all the young players on the fringe of it are good prospects. The Sheffield United and the Salford games are evidence of that.
What I would say is full back is probably the most likely position on the pitch that you may accelerate someone’s progress and the most likely position a player may get his chance early…..followed by Centre Forward where everything is instinct based and pace and aggression will always be a threat regardless of technical / tactical abilities.
That’s not a criticism it’s just far more likely a young full back will get opportunities than a young centre midfielder or young centre back where responsibility, exposure and consequence is at its highest level.

Obviously most will be watching the first team game at 8pm but for those interested there is a free stream of the 23s game on you tube at 6.45 (7pm kick off)

I'm telling you that under the laws of the game "when a player uses" does not mean it has to be deliberate act to hurt. We are taught as referees that a dangerous challenge does not have to be intended or a deliberate act to constitute serious foul play/violent conduct. Just the act of putting an opponent in danger through use of excessive force is enough.
It's the same principle as the high foot/dangerous play when challenging for a ball. A player who's foot is deemed high isn't intending to injure his opponent's head, but that doesn't mean to say it's not a dangerous challenge and therefore punishable either by yellow or red depending on the force used.

It'll vary tbh, Rava. Will notch an entry beside your name as that effort deserves it but I ain't recalculating everything!

Fozzy was a red and we should have had a pen for handball…just my view. I ran the line for Perton U13s a couple of times ???

Just a thought, but when awarding their scores, could people indicate whether they watched the game live, watched it on tv, listened to the radio commentary or (as appears from a few comments on here) based their scores on random comments from other posters and their own existing prejudices….

I’d disagree with your first sentence.
The game was changed with Forests HT sub and tactical changes.
Lawrence going off meant we carried a bit less threat, but didn’t change the fact we we’re on the back foot for the 2nd half.

Joz is on a yellow, probably the deciding factor between the two. Sibley is due his customary yellow, he just doesn't have it yet.

This is what I was hoping for when I compared the team lineup to Spain a decade ago. Obviously we aren’t in that class - but Forest aren’t a world class opposition either, so we should be able to pull it off.

VAR pen, but we would be down to 10 men with VAR

The movement of the front 4 today is fantastic….Forest are giving them so much time and space but the movement is a sight
