    Every club has them
these sort of cretins arnt exclusive to Derby county, theyre just a small minority of our population sadly
fortunately there are a lot more decent people in the world than there are these dheads
they just tend to make the most noise in football grounds and social media

Good post. Taking coke doesn’t instantly turn people into nobheads. Some people can handle it, some can’t. Just like alcohol, though I’d imagine a higher proportion of pre-existing nobheads take coke than drink alcohol.
I still think the distasteful chants are caused by young lads not knowing where the line is.

Sniffer dogs and pat downs are pretty much the only thing you can do but even then the dogs can be pretty inaccurate. They do work well as a deterrant though so very happy to hear they've started bringing them to games.
The sad thing is even if you made it impossible for these people to get coked up before and during games, they'd still be equally as unpleasant if not worse on just drink. They're just out their to look hard in front of their mates and act the fool with no regard for another fan's experience. Being a bell is part of the matchday experience to them.
It's not limited to football too. Just after uni I worked this minimum wage job, very physical low-skilled work. There were a few guys  there who on that sort of a salary would pay their bills and buy their essentials then pump almost all of what was remaining into coke. They'd turn up to a shift on the stuff and top-up throughout the day, honestly couldn't believe it. We really do have a problem with substance abuse in general in this country.

What about the working women, old folks and kids?
I think the behaviour of some of these people is an insult to the "working man" you refer to.

A few seasons back, caught the train from Notts for the Forest game.
More fans than not were on the sniff, in full view of the many coppers also on board.
It's little different for some of our fans, from what I've seen on Away days.
Forget the movies where you see users chopping lines with a credit card and snorting through a bank note, it's far easier to take discreetly than that.

I wonder how many people have stopped attending because they no longer feel comfortable with the behaviour of some of our 'fans'.

I’ve been vocal about how proud I am of our fans’ support this season. The singing has been pretty much non stop. I think it’s partly because there seems to be more younger fans (16-21) going at the minute.
However, there have also been a lot more unsavoury chants in recent months, generally led by that age range. Barely a game goes by without hearing songs about Nigel Doughty these days. And I must have heard the words “Billy Sharp” and “sex offender” 1,000 times yesterday.
Not sure there’s really a point to this post. Just an observation.

Some people genuinely aren’t able to go. Some people aren’t that dedicated and just can’t be arsed.
It’s not that deep and you’re wasting time and happiness by having a go at each other.

We are doing so much better than anyone predicted after the embargoes and transfer restrictions. Just enjoy watching a squad who seem totally committed despite everything with many of our own youngsters stepping up. Necessity has given us this - just add the points back when looking at the table and feel proud - especially of your Wayne!! Lets just make sure we enjoy the football - with everything else if the team carrying on giving it their all, it will be season we look back on for the togetherness between fans and players which we havent had for a little while and which many other fans may be envious of despite the circumstances.

Show the fighting spirit of today (and West Brom and Stoke) and we’re going to have plenty of enjoyable/memorable moments. Hope that we’ll find real owners by Jan who can tie our talent down to longer term contracts, and then we build again even if it is from league 1.

It is going to be tough but we're playing the right way & creating openings. The more we play this way, the better we'll get.
Its the dullest cliche in the world but one game at a time probably apt at the minute. So many off-field issues that can affect things & it'll drive us mad worrying about it all.
Onto Reading...lets back the lads to the rafters again & get out of these negative points ?

We need to keep fighting to the end of every game regardless of what happens elsewhere. This spirit that the team and management are showing right now will burn on into next season and the one after that whereupon we will grow together and rebuild, stronger than before. I really believe this.
We as fans must keep up the tremendous support for this great football club.

Just accept what we are right now and enjoy the ride! Take pride in the performance of a limited squad and a fast-learning management team that all appear to be respecting the badge on their shirts.
Realistically, what’s the worst that can happen - we get relegated. But really who cares! League One is just the same circus, different towns in which to pitch the Big Top.

on the pitch has been a shining light this season for me, a chance to get away from all the drama for 90 minuites.
yes we have had late drama in a few games but the pride has always been there from the playing staff. i genuinely dont think we could be asking any more of the playing squad than what we have recieved and that goes for rooney too.
remember at the start of the season we were written off by all as possibly the worst team to play at this level

There are times when certain types of players step up to the mark and provide the inspiration that teammates and fans need.  They sometimes aren’t necessarily the most technically gifted footballers but their drive, mental and physical strength and willingness to give all for the team (even if they’re not actually playing) give truth to the feeling that anything can be overcome.
I give you the Scottish Pirlo, one Mr Graeme Shinnie, who did not deserve to be on the losing side today and gave everything in the cause not to be.  While he’s in and around the squad we should always remain positive.

We didn’t deserve to lose away from home to a team predicted to finish top 6. We only had 10 men for half the game and conceded a bizarre penalty. We will win enough games to overturn the 12 point penalty, survival depends on the EFL.

I wish I’d done that for a couple of tophats at Manure a few seasons ago smoking in the stand and trying to rip the seats out. Some folk are complete morons. May be next time I should. I got a photo too but deleted it. May be if people got photos and recordings it may make people think twice.

That was what is becoming a typical Derby performance, with almost everything being left on the pitch again. Desperately unlucky with the woodwork, and despite being bollocked for being critical of the match officials, the ref didn't do us many favours today. Even so, I would have accepted the red card at the time, but to hear that the ref had decided yellow, then changed his mind (after being surrounded and harangued by the Blades players) made me think again, and the arguments for an appeal have some grounds. I am not expecting anything other than a ban, though. MY biggest complaint was the inconsistency in the decision making. Early on we attacked, and Baldock was about to get on to a cross, when somehow, whilst behind the defender and moving away from him he was able to launch said defender into the air, causing him to do a half pike with 3 twists. Great artistic impression, of course, but cheating. A similar looking, but actual shove in the back on Lawrence was met with the usual looking away and waving play on. And so it went on. As many have pointed out the Blades were diving all match long. I know Britain got a significant medals haul in the swimming section of the Olympics, but it might be worth pointing out to the Blades that the Olympics have actually finished.
The fact that despite the obvious body-blow of the penalty, we kept on trying, and probably had better chances from that point onwards. Brilliant. And brilliant from the fans, yet again, who could be heard all the way through the match - unlike the Sheffield librarians - we only got to hear them for a couple of minutes after Roos got sent off, and for some of the closing minutes after the goal.
    We go again on Wednesday!
