The thick idiot says he doesn’t want to name them then drops one right in it with a name drop in the same article ? I’m so glad the brainless moron is out of our club.

I was told at the time there was youth player in Bennett's car and another one in Lawrence's. I was told the names but won't say them on here. I was also told RK initially gave a false name to either the ambulance men or the Police.

Showed no remorse and apparently still doesnt. Also had the temerity to sue the club after his monumental balls up essentially ended his career with us. I will not forgive him.

I don't begrudge him his pay day win as he obviously had grounds to appeal it but another article from him without an ounce of responsibility taken from the, at the time, club captain.
Dress it up as a quiet bowling night all you want, you were out ya bloody tree mate.

I'll see your lame old donkey with blame issues and a wallet full of cash he collected sat on his arse and raise you Bragstaad and Claude Davis as better options.  Poor as they were at least they could actually put some boots on.  Better vision as well, as they can tell the difference between someone drinking lager and someone drinking water.

Thinking maybe he has employed Rooney's media manipulation experts that @Jourdanis so impressed with.
A couple of days after employees of the club get made redundant seems exactly the right time to put out a fluffy pity piece about how he has been blowing his nose on £50 notes that he only has a few million quid to show for sitting on his backside for 2 years.

He can baalocks.  I hold him in the same regard as cat turd I've run over with a lawnmower.  Seen better stories on Jackanory.  Come back as a coach, holds Derby in high regard.  Get stuffed

Our captain got himself injured during stupid drunken behaviour and then sued us. How exactly can you be on his side? He's a crap footballer now, never came back the same. Because of his own actions.

I'm honestly still on Keoghs side with this.
He should have been fined and that's it (which would have saved the club money overall given what eventually happened), and we may even have got some games out of him when we were short on players last season. He was found to have been wrongfully dismissed by law. The way Derby acted was probably a desperate attempt to save money as Mel's gambles all started to catch up to him. The way he was treated made a lot of our own players and former players dislike us, and maybe even stopped other players joining us.
Keogh was a good player for us overall and should have been remembered that way. Its just another thing Mel's ruined. Obviously Keogh takes some blame but if he was just fined he could have eventually recovered his relationship with the club.

If he really did have any lasting affection for the club he wouldn't be releasing this story at a time when he knows we're up against it.
Presumably he has his compo in his back pocket and wants a little sympathy as well.

He was found unconscious in the car but then allowed to walk home? Did I read that part right? Surely that would not happen and the paramedics would have a duty of care to take him to hospital to be checked up properly.

Curtis risked his health to come on the pitch for us in the final game of the season. He was concerned for the club and the staff. A real hero.

Doesnt matter what he contributed. Compare and contrast him with a real captain like Curtis Davies. Levels apart in character. Davies is 10x the man and will be remembered for much longer as a Derby player.

Utmost respect for him as a player and leader on the pitch.
No respect for not accepting some responsibility and leadership that night.

    Totally gutted for him.
Spent all day team building and had a small sherry to unwind.  Didn't want to go home early because he is club captain so it's important he was there all night.  Then got in a nice big safe 4×4  car with someone who clearly wouldn't be daft enough have had a drink in the cavernous Joiners Arms where he hadn't even bumped into him never mind noticed what he was drinking. The sherry went to his head so he can't recall if he got his seatbelt on but suddenly he was trapped a car and bravely decided to walk home on his damaged leg to save any embarrassment to the club.
    Legend.  Hero.

Keep the faith Mike.  Yes it is frustrating but it's been like that for nigh on two years.  Like you rightly say, we are clearly better.  @86 Hair Islands summed it up nicely a few posts ago.  We still have CKR, Festy and Bielik to come back.  Others likely to get points deducted.  It's generally a weaker league this year.
And why won't it happen.  As the late Jimmy Greaves said It's a funny old game.  It's a cliché but we do it a game at a time.  That's Rooney's focus, that's why he shows the team a form league, not the actual one.
Our administrators remain extremely positive, with several buyers in the wings - despite the debt, and league position, we are extremely marketable, not least supported by:
a team who themselves have reacted so positively to this debacle - a buyer would be taking on a dedicated, skilled, hard-working and professional team showing what I would say is unparalleled allegiance to a club a manager (plus his management team) who shows commitment to this club daily and absolutely refuses to throw in the towel a fan base that's second to none - who have reacted so positively despite all the frustration and anger caused by events, who are turning out by the bucket-load to support the club.   the simple fact we are Derby - a club with a proud history, huge standing, massive potential..... We will rise stronger ??

I am with you Jram. There are going to be a few squeaky bums in other championship clubs over the next few months. I think our 'situation' is only the tip of the iceberg. Am not itk but I would assume we are not the only club. If I were fans of other clubs, especially those who are currently gloating, I wouldn't be so rooster sure that everything is rosy! I believe we will have  'mini league' of clubs with deductions given to them fighting to stay in this league.

And play all the youngsters is exactly what we should do and prepare properly for league one - the results of the games in the championship become an irrelevance to us and so what if it unbalances the league because the league has already been imbalanced
