We are playing a team which should be in the lower reaches of the premier league, I am not sure what some people are expecting? You think we should be playing them off the park. We haven't been swept off the park, they obviously have some quality players but we are still in this.

Yes it was poor from Roos but why do we continue to set him up to fail like that?
Can someone with better tactical insight than me explain what we hope to achieve with those bizarre goal kick routines? We have been doing it all season but nothing positive ever comes from them. I genuinely don’t get it!

We’d only be one win off the top half if there were no deductions.
All hypothetical of course, but you couldn’t really write us off already if those were the circumstances.

15 wins at least needed add in a few draws out of 28 games is promotion form, not a chance but as long as we fight like today I'll be happy

There aren't many times, if any, in a career as a professional footballer when you can play matches with zero pressure. In a league when any team can beat any, we are a dangerous team to face. Whilst we haven’t been a particular goal threat, we have largely remained tough to beat. We started the season the same way, no one expected anything of us, written off.
My fear though is when staying up becomes a realistic chance. If the pressure comes back...the other issue is if players start thinking about their future if we are down early.
Just enjoy this ride as a fan, you never know.

But we do have a chance, as impossible it may seem.
And that's the mentality we need to see from the players.
Fans have and will have paid a lot of money for season tickets, away tickets, travel etc.
We deserve to see players take this challenge on and give it their all. It's ok for us to think no chance, but not the players.
Far too many games to go to just give up.

This may be the worst analogy I've seen on this forum so far.
No one takes on a mortgage as a gamble, it's a long term investment of low risk for both the borrower and the lender, and the basis of our home owning society.
Mel's done the opposite, gambled with money he does have, then walked away to let taxpayers, businesses and quite shamefully, in my opinion, two different ambulance services bear the pain, one state owned, one a charity ffs.

I rarely use the angry emoji, in fact, I just checked how often I have used it and it turns out I’ve used it four times since they were introduced. I can’t confirm when that was, suffice to say, it was a fair while ago.
I used it in this instance because I objected to your post telling people what they should post and when. It might be boring to you but as new information comes to light, and today, the BBC were running an article about us owing 29 million quid (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59358676) people should be free to make reference to this news and the person responsible for allowing it to occur.
Secondly, and you were the unfortunate to be on the receiving end of my mood at that moment, I had been sickened by the “David, can you tell me how to donate, I want to donate a hundred quid/David I’d like to know if the direct debit I’ve set up is enough? kind of posts I’d read just prior to reading your post.
Ive donated to the running costs of the forum in the past, even bought a dcfcfans tee shirt with the most ridiculous rams head logo I’ve ever seen because I thought it might be supporting the forum, but I never made an issue over either, that was between me and the proprietor of the forum.
So, while I stand by the reaction I gave your post, another day I might have just rolled my eyes and thought “who does he think he is telling people what and when to post” I do concede what I’d read just prior to reading your post probably influenced my thinking.

I am sure I read somewhere in the rules that these matters have to go before a panel that is composed primarily  of lawyers.
Whilst I know lawyers love an argument .. I know many more who will laugh at this. My feeling is Mr Gibsons lawyer is justifying his handsome retainer as the clubs advocate. He’s telling Steve what he wants to hear. There is a case ..
What he isn’t saying is: that it is wildly tenuous in law and in any case the EFL can’t let it happen because the consequences for the entire industry would be vast and destabilising. I can’t help feeling that the sensible heads (there must be a few) will be telling Gibbo to let sleeping dogs lie.

Gibson should be taking MM to court for that money. Not a football club. He's attacking the fans.
As far as I am concerned neither Derby County or Middlesbrough should be brought into the conversation in public. Its between two businessmen.

It's a great stadium in the right place for our club. It already has a history and huge significance for a generation of supporters who barely or never knew the Baseball Ground.
Mel Morris may be the current custodian but it will come back to the new owners.
Why would we want anyone to spend £80 million plus building a new one?
