There's better pizza available in every town and city in the UK than Domino's.
It's right up there with Gregg's and Carling as a "why is this a success, it's terrible" question of the world is wrong wondering.

We still need a resolution on the stadium as it is one of the things that is still a potential barrier. We are not out of the woods yet and MM needs to do his bit.

Disappointed to finally have relegation confirmed tonight but it was always the most likely outcome.
Looking ahead to L1, assuming the takeover happens, I'd love us to avoid being that club who thinks we will walk the league and beat all comers.
We are set for the biggest squad overhaul we've ever seen which will be HUGELY unpredictable. We will have a target on our backs all season long, and there are some big clubs here who have more experience of the slog than we do.
I'm hoping that in August I am confident and think we can compete for promotion, but let's just temper expectations for now and keep the "everything is a bonus" approach, its contributed to the best season ever for atmosphere.

I know that there is lots of speculation about CK's net worth but as long as he has enough to rescue us and get us on an even keel it doesn't preclude getting others involved later even if he couldn't take us on himself. That said, clever wealthy people are generally good at being a bit vague as to their full financial situation and as long as he can see it through and moving in the right direction I'm not really interested in his exact net worth.
In fact I think Morris' reputation as a wealthy man who would chuck money at things led to some epicly bad bits of business. Let it remain unclear as far as I'm concerned. Stops clubs taking the piss in transfer negotiations and players and agents with wages..

It's a huge rebuild job and not just the first team but if we stick to that for now I think there are certain key things that you need to do well. Looks like League 1 now realistically (yes I know, it's not over until its over and all that) but I think we need to address some key weaknesses.
We need a striker who can score pretty regularly and who can lead the line against the sort of uncompromising defenders that we'll face. That's not to say that we need some lumbering 6ft 7 man mountain, just someone who is not going to be bullied and ideally who has a bit of pace and is capable in the air. The difficulty is that this sort of player is on the shopping list of anyone who wants to progress in the EFL so with wage constraints and EFL approved budgets (probably in League 1) we are going to need to shop smart and not expect to sign some household name who was up there in the Championship scoring charts a couple of seasons back. We perhaps have to look at places like Scotland which can hopefully provide players with the sort of hard working physical attributes that will be needed to thrive. I can't name names unfortunately as I don't watch much football outside of the Championship but I suspect that I might start to do so if we are allowed to actually sign people again at some stage.
Aside from that I think we need some bite in midfield, particularly in away games where we have been found badly wanting. The away form has killed us and made the 21 points a near impossible task. We're 2nd from bottom based on away form but 10th and just 4 points from top on home form and if we somehow beat Fulham we could be 2nd on home form alone.. That has to be corrected and usually that is about being brave and positive when you are away from home and I think if we are guilty of anything it is perhaps being a little timid away. However you do it you need a foothold in the game though and I think that starts in CM.
Thirdly we need goals from around the team to build on the work of the focal point striker. Lawrence's goals have been really important but he is surely headed elsewhere and we are desperate for a general threat from across the team. We are losing games away in particular by fine margins as often as not and not being clinical with what we create will help us snatch points in some games and put the game to bed in others.

Things seem to be slipping away on the pitch so focus is back on every little revelation about CK or his team. As a result I've decided that I'm not going to wind myself into a tizz about what might possibly go wrong because there is nothing that I can do about it and we've all been a bundle of stress for months now without finding new reasons. CK has been named the preferred bidder and now has a period of exclusivity during which he will be looking for answers on some key issues and hopefully making some viable deals with HMRC and others.
Granted, there are lots of unknowns with CK and lack of clarity re the stadium is perhaps not helping matters in some fans minds, but MM was seemingly the perfect solution and that turned into an unmitigated disaster so I'm just going to see how it all pans out and judge it then. Who knows, this guy may be exactly what we need. Rooney certainly seems to want him involved.
A bit apprehensive ? Yep, as should we all be, there is a lot to still resolve before we are out the woods but all we can do for now is hope that CK is going to see this through in a way that gets us back on our feet with no/minimal additional damage and brings some desperately needed stability and positivity back to our club.

I don't think I have ever bought any food or drink at the ground in 30 years. It's overly priced, poor quality commercial food and drink. If there was a fan zone with Street Food and a range of beverage options, I would have. Agree with the comments about match day experience for families too, it's poor.
Other sports do a much better job of giving people a reason to come early and stay later. I think the club needs to move away from the concept of making money from the fans to giving fans a fun day out. People will spend money if they're happy and having fun and be more inclined to tell their friends and come back.
All the suggestions would also help to build the atmosphere for when the match starts too. Get people in, build the buzz and when people filter into their seats, keep it simple and focus the energy on cheering on the team.
There's so much opportunity when you start to think about it.
