Your problem is you're trying to be fair and reasonable about it and that's just not on.
Acknowledging you really don't know what's going on (because you don't) it not playing the game according to the rules.
You really should have an opinion and stick to it.
Knowledge and understanding is not a prerequisite for having a strong opinion in life.
In fact, often the opposite is true.
Because the more you know, the more you doubt things because you know you really don't know.
If you know what I mean.
Science works like that.
Which is glad not too many people in this thread are scientists.
Brilliant: yes, you’ve nailed my problem right there, thank you.
However, In the nicest possible way, I really hope that you won’t be offended if I don’t take advice from someone called “Bob the Badger”.- GboroRam and atherstoneram

Maybe he can’t get his hands on any cash and can’t sell the club and is taking the only route left available to him … i.e. just keep the club trundling along with minima wage bill.
I mean I’m all for slamming Mel, but I have a bit of sympathy for a guy who’s spent 200 mill and still has a cash hungry asset in his hands that he can’t get shot of.

My suspicion is that by restating all of our amortisation then we will have breached FFP quite a few years ago. The EFL will have to agree with DCFC on punishment for accounts that they have already approved …. Which I suspect will be cause for some debate on what is the correct treatment. It’s a right mess tbh, so they must be trying to work out what they should do that holds water legally, bearing in mind that whatever they do could set a precedent.
Plus of course if we get a points deduction cue potential legal action from Wycombe??

DCFC to lose. 0/1.
no FRGS
-
To me it suggest that Derby have complied and provided all information to the efl. I would suspect that they can’t submit the accounts until the efl are happy. So if there is a delay beyond today it’s because the efl haven’t finished their review. Hence they can’t punish DCFC. No need to panic for now.
Just hope it gets done in the next two or three days so that Rooney has time to announce his 8 new signings.

Radio says that there are some interesting chants between the two sets of fans. Can anyone give a summary? Obviously substituting some swear words!

Or is he just suggesting that they aren't yet ready to play a whole season and carry the team? What with them being inexperienced youngsters?!
Actually I suspect it’s Wayne suggesting he has plans should investment come in. He’s probably thinking of new owners come in perhaps they will try and bring their own person in. It’s political.
I still don’t like it though. -
The 8 players comment really annoyed me. All that does is pushes the youngsters down the pecking order. Is he saying that Hutchinson, Watson, Sibley, festy, Kornell even bird and Buchanan aren’t good enough? As a fan and Simone who wants the youngsters to thrive and have opportunities I’m sorry, I simply don’t want eight new signings.
Just my view.

Lose 2/1.
joz for Derby.

Two nil defeat
So no rams goal scorers.
?
-
1:1 draw.
FRGS Kazim

7 out of 11 are academy graduates. Uncle Mel will be delighted …. Until he sees the final score.

Jordan brown in centre back ahead of cashin must be because he played against Crawley?
Rooney said after the game on Saturday that cashin and Thompson were on the bench but he wouldn’t have used them as if he did they would have qualified as an extra player towards his limit.
Must be hard being told “sorry, we want to buy someone and if we play you then we can’t so we’ll have to leave you out”.
-
Does the salford game count? Do we need to predict that too?
-
Derby to lose 3/1.
Rams scorer Tom Lawrence.

Christ. So we're that hard up we can't even sign more than 4 players on a free.
Christ? Is he available? Must be getting on a bit now. Probably out of contract though.

Seriously though … when do we start to panic about no new signings?!!
I’m saying this part out of superstition that as soon as I say it we will sign someone … anyone!!!
-
In my life, eranio I’m sure scored a few.
idiakez of course, just loved that player.
Harry Wilson albeit for just one season.
i had confidence in all three above.
But all time of course for those two against Real Madrid … Charlie George. Shame I wasn’t alive when he played for us.

You make it sound very easy
Well actually it should be. A professional footballer should be able to put the ball in the corner of the net from a penalty. That should mean they are at least 50:50 to score and like I say add the option of a penenka and you’re at 2 in 3.
It’s like taking a corner or a free kick. I can never forgive a winger from taking a corner and free kick and hitting the head of the first defender. It’s really not that difficult to lift the ball over the first man - and playing those percentages again you’re not going to score off the first defenders head, so why oh why do it??
Football fans don’t help. “I just want you to put it in the corner” means “I just want a 50:50 chance of a penalty. Well that’s just silly, I want a better chance than that from my penalty kicks, so throw in penenkas and waiting for the goalie to dive and I’ll accept the odd miss or save as I know you’re increasing your chances of scoring.
it’s a bit like supporters going mad because you get a corner when actually only 1 in 20 corners actually result in a goal.
Embargo.

Thanks for sharing ossieram. At the end of the day virtually none of us are in the know so rumours are all we have to go on. ?
