Let's be honest. The reason we've been given another 4 weeks is to make sure we can't sign anybody and potentially have to lose more players. The EFL, plus the w@nkers making the spurious claims, are terrified to death that we might just gain enough points to avoid relegation this season, despite the 21 points deduction and umpteen transfer embargoes already.
Not sure this is right, but all the more reason to support the rams EVERY SINGLE WEEK!!

Mr Rick Parry,
I'd like to formally invite you to the game on Sunday, on behalf of supporters. KO 1.30. As the current Chair of the EFL I'm sure you can see the importance of this game and of course you also have said you act on behalf of ALL the EFL Clubs which I assume includes DCFC.
I don’t know about Rick Parry, but we should invite the local MPs. At least they are trying to help; I’m not convinced they are BIG Derby fans, but they are supporters nonetheless. Would love to see them at PPS supporting the rams.

Just kicking the can down the road.
We still haven’t sorted out hmrc then?
Or “legacy debt”. Basically nothing is sorted.
What are the administrators actually doing?

Fine by me. It'll be all the sweeter when we take their claims on and they get laughed out of the room.
I agree. I can’t believe these claims - in particular the Middlesbrough one - will stand up in a court of law. Especially if Gibson goes off on one about Derby systematically cheating (which they have found to be innocent of).
Other than an annoying court case, any new owners aren’t really acquiring much risk in my opinion.

So far as we know this is the only actual bid. So if this is the best they can get then...
I thought there had been multiple bids? Kirchener, Ashley, Appleby, ANOther (maybe these guys??).
I suspect this may accelerate eliminating the Middlesbrough /Wycombe issue from the negotiations. So great news.
But it still leaves the rest of the creditors. We still don’t know where quantuma really are with them.

Doesn’t the administrator have a duty to the creditors to get the best deal for them?
So even if these guys do agree to a future contingent liability to Middlesbrough and Wycombe, they might not be the highest bidder and therefore the admins may not be able to select them.
As with anything … this might be good news, it might not be. Who knows??

They have been donating tickets for every game since we went into administration. Originally said if you couldn't afford to buy one otherwise. Punjabi Rams are brilliant.
Just been talking to a guy on twitter who knows some people with mental health problems who are going to apply.
I know some games they have struggled to give away the tickets.
Comes back to how do you donate?
Plus is there a way of extending the scheme .. finding local people, kids etc who would like free tickets. I’d like to know more if you can give details.
I wonder if any forum members know any school teachers or head teachers that might want to give out tickets to their children plus staff?

Is this a way of donating angie?
I wonder how they select people for a free ticket? Is it arbitrary or based on something else?

One other option, that I mentioned on another thread is to get DCFC fans to pool money together to buy tickets with a view to giving them to the community. For example local schools. That way we contribute to the team and to the local community and get kids interested in supporting the rams.

Just a thought … could forum members fund between them raise enough to pay for, say, a class or a year group from a local school to go to a match? I’m not exactly sure of the cost of a child’s ticket but if it’s, say, £10 each plus a couple of adults, well that’s around £360. If forum members contributed £10 each that’s only 36 lots before we have a class full. We’d also need someone to contact a local school and offer them the tickets.
This would not only give us the opportunity to fund the club, but also encourage youngsters from the area to support the Rams.

I wonder if this is more about security and a long term wage for the player than it is about saving money for the club. It must be tough having no plan for a salary beyond June, even if you are confident in your ability.
Also, any injury and you’re down to zero salary come next July.
Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m just struggling to see what Derby actually gain from this move outside of £100k or so (including shinnie’s salary) saved over the next 5 months.
-
I have also received a reply from Rick parry.
It’s P&C, so I would not wish to share it. Notwithstanding, what I can share is that he is suggesting the EFLs insolvency policy and need to be applied consistently. The Middlesbrough and Wycombe claims don’t need to be resolved but there does need to be a process to take them forwards.
TBH, I’m grateful for a reply, whoever is answering must have a lot to deal with and the fact that they are answering everyone individually is really quite commendable.
-
What’s illogical is that we sell shinnie ahead of understanding the market price for knight. Why would we do that, just makes no sense at all.
-
Given that many fans have bought season tickets and merchandise this year for a club that is continually being hamstrung by entities outside of their own control … is there scope for actually starting legal proceedings as a fan body again is the efl I wonder?
After all we are paying to see a team in a league that purports to be a competition, but actually is clearly not a competition for Derby. How can we compete with a depleted squad and a 21 point deduction?
-
If Everton want Rooney …. Does anyone know if we could get compensation?
Much as I don’t want to lose him. It could be a blessing in disguise? -

I’m actually really disappointed in the administrators.
They were clearly expecting the EFL to approve whatever plan they put forward. Given that they haven’t done that, we are left in a position where we have to let players go or sell them (more than likely for less than market value). If they’d known this was a possible outcome, surely they should have planned for this possibility and had a plan in place, or alternatively they perhaps should have accepted one of the bids we’d had for our players?
We could do with some kind of communications from them now.
-
My prediction is this
- the preferred bidder will be announced tomorrow
- however the takeover won’t be completed until the summer (not sure why??)
- therefore the EFL require proof of funds until the end of the season
- so all that remains is that we have to find enough funds to support the club until the end of the season. I can only assume that the club and or administrators can do this. Although my fear is that it might be done by a player or two going out the door.
I’m not in the know, that’s just what it all points too to me.

So the EFL are questioning the integrity of the administrators as well now?
My feeling is that this is just part of the due diligence and is magnifying the process unnecessarily. However why would Percy put his own integrity on the line by issuing the statement?i suspect all will be revealed tomorrow (the new 48hours).

We win this one.
We’re not scoring too many. So I’ll go 1/0. Our scorer will be Lawrence.
